We ask that You would open the door to an apartment that is within their means, yet filled with Your peace and provision. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live. The Lord has not brought you this far to put you to shame. What if you are a favored one of the Most High? He who made the heavens loves you, and the house shall be swept for you, and you shall yet be found and put into the Savior's treasury. God's hidden ones are hidden by Him with a view to safety. You are His, and He knows your need. Oh, the privileges of those who are God's people! The wiser way is to sit down calmly and say, here is God's promise, He cares for His own. He has forgiven your sin, and now not a single one remains upon you. Will He not also provide a roof? The brand plucked from the fire shall be exhibited in Heaven as a proof of what God's almighty grace can do. So with your pen or with your voice, declare this wondrous work before you even see the door open. Go out from this moment asking, am I God's witness in this trial? Let your expectation be from Him alone.

Seek first that your soul may be acceptable before Him in the Holy Ghost, for it is not wood and fire, nor an altar of earthly things, but the Spirit that is all in us. God, standing in no need of anything from us, yet created us, and if He made us not needing us, how shall He not provide for the needs of this present life, which is a sleep and the things in it no way different from dreams? He who freed you from the greater ills by grace alone will much more free you from the lesser, now you have become a friend and contribute your own share likewise.
Yet there is need not only of prayer but also of your own part, if we are to be duly saved. Make provision for the flesh, but for health, and not to fulfil the lusts thereof. For what nourishes is a sufficiency which can be digested, but what is over and above our need not only does not nourish but even spoils the other. Do not then fatten the body or seek for more than necessaries, for they that grow rich in a dream, when it is day are convicted of having been rich to no purpose. Spend all your industry on the care of spiritual things, keeping that Fire from being extinguished, and the Lord, who by a star with no course of its own led the wise men, dispensing all as need required, will rouse up your ready-mindedness and order your dwelling place according to His good pleasure.

It can feel deeply unsettling when your resources shrink and the place you call home is suddenly uncertain. That kind of pressure has a way of exposing what we are really leaning on. You have mentioned a financial need, a housing need, and those are real. Jesus Himself acknowledged that human hunger and human necessity are not trivial things. He defended His disciples when they were hungry and in need. God is not distant from the practical concerns of your life.
Yet the first and greatest need any of us has is not a new apartment or a restored income. It is the forgiveness of sins and a life made right before God through Jesus Christ. Until that is truly settled at the center of your being, every other provision is a secondary mercy. The primary work is already done for those who are in Christ. If any person is in Christ, that person is a new creation. The old life of self-reliance and dead spirituality is passed away. That new life is what counts, not the rituals we perform or the image we project.
Consider the way God works. When He wants to do a fresh thing, He does not simply patch up the worn-out systems we have created. No one sews a patch of new, unshrunk cloth onto an old garment; when it gets wet, the tear only becomes worse. And no one pours new wine into stiff, brittle wineskins, because they will burst and everything will be lost. The new wine is placed into fresh skins, and both are preserved. This season of material loss may feel like a tearing, but it is often the way God moves us out of old, rigid dependencies so He can contain a new work of His Spirit within us. He is not trying to reform your old plan; He is inviting you into something new that can hold the weight of what He intends to do.
This also means you do not need to strive as if God is a poor manager who needs you to bail Him out. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and He is not in need. We are the ones in need, in need of showing our love, our trust, and our reliance upon Him. Deep down, beneath every proud front we may put up, the human heart cries out for God. You may be tempted to say, “I can handle this battle on my own,” but the Lord reigns. Because He reigns, you do not have to live in turmoil or discouragement. You can patiently wait for Him to bring His work to pass. He is working, even now, to provide for you in a way that teaches you to depend on His fellowship and not just on His gifts.
So yes, bring your need for a home before the Lord with boldness. Shout to God with a voice of triumph because He is awesome in power and faithful in care. But as you ask Him to open a door for a new apartment, ask also for a fresh experience of the old truth: that He is your dwelling place, that His grace is sufficient, and that in His new creation there is no lack of light or provision, because He Himself dwells with His people. Trust Him to lead you to exactly the provision He has prepared. He knows your need, and He will meet it in the way that best preserves both the new wine of His Spirit and the new skin of your life in Him.
