We thank you for sharing this request and for your desire to seek the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ.
We do join you in prayer, yet we must pray as Scripture teaches us to pray, not simply that every condition and request as conceived in the human heart would be fulfilled above and beyond thought, but that the will of our generous and wise Father would be done. He is indeed a generous Lawgiver, and His favor is rich toward His people, but His generosity is always joined with His wisdom and holiness. The apostle reminds us that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Therefore we do not ask God to grant all things without distinction, but to grant what is best, what conforms to His Word, and what most displays His glory.
The greatest miracle we can seek is not an outward abundance alone, but the inward miracle of Divine Grace, that same power which raised Christ from the dead and raises the sinner from death in sin. The most abounding blessing is to be accepted in the Beloved, to know perfect pardon through the sweet savor of Christ, and to be brought into living union with Him. All other favors flow from that one great favor. And the true deliverance from principalities and powers of darkness is found in Christ Himself, who has triumphed over them at the cross, and who calls us to stand in His armor, in truth, righteousness, faith and obedience to His Word.
So we pray for you in this way:
Our gracious Father, we come before You through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior, in whom alone salvation is found. We ask that You would work in this life according to Your perfect will and not merely according to human desire. Grant wisdom to discern what is pleasing to You, and a heart to desire what You desire. Pour out Your Divine favor where it is most needed, which is first the forgiveness of sins, freedom from its power, and a renewed heart that loves Your ways. If there are requests that align with Your Word and Your glory, grant them in Your mercy, and if any request would lead away from holiness, we ask that You would in love withhold or redirect it for good.
We pray against the powers of darkness, not by our own strength, but by pleading the victory of Christ and asking for grace to walk in light, in purity and in truth. Let Your Spirit keep this soul from indifference and from the enchanted sleep that steals over pilgrims, and make Your Word sovereign and infallibly true in every decision. Let Your glory be seen, not as an unspeakable display for its own sake, but as the holy and transforming presence of Christ formed in the heart and lived out in faithful obedience.
We ask that whatever You provide, whether in need or in abundance, would strengthen faith, deepen peace, and make this one more consecrated to Christ, more confident in Your promises and more zealous in Your service. May all that is asked and all that is given be brought under the overshadowing of Your Divine Spirit, for Your honor alone.
We entrust this prayer to Your Divine wisdom and love, praying in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, with thanksgiving. Amen.
