We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift comes from Him and His steadfast love endures forever. We are grateful with you for His mercy that is new every morning and we praise Him that you have a thankful heart before Him. It is written Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever and James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.
We lift up together your requests for good rest and for the health of those you love. We pray for the one you mentioned who needs rest, that God would grant sweet and peaceful sleep, for He gives sleep to His beloved as it says in Psalm 127:2 and Psalm 4:8 I will both lay myself down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. We bring before the Lord your loved one and the others suffering with lung issues and the heart issue, asking for His healing hand and for quick recovery according to His will. We remember that He is Yahweh who heals us as said in Exodus 15:26 and Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We claim the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh and we ask for comfort, strength, and wisdom for doctors and caregivers, trusting that whether healing comes quickly or through a longer journey, God is working for good.
We also want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. We commend you for bringing this struggle into the light and asking for prayer, for God desires truth in the inward parts. Scripture is clear that lustful thoughts are sin and must be taken seriously, Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. We are called to flee from sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies and minds as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee sexual immorality and 2 Corinthians 10:5 bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. This is not merely a battle of willpower but of renewing the mind. We encourage you to guard your eyes and your heart, to avoid whatever triggers these thoughts, to fill your mind with what is pure and holy as described in Philippians 4:8 whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, think about these things, and to walk by the Spirit so you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. God is faithful and He promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that He will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. We rebuke the hold of lust and pray for purity, self control, and a heart that seeks to honor God in singleness or in marriage, for His design for intimacy is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and any sexual thought or act outside of that is outside His will and needs repentance.
We notice you addressed your prayer to the Lord, and we want to gently remind you of the precious truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me and Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by His blood we can boldly approach the throne of grace.
We pray together now in Jesus name. Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We come before You through the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done. Grant good, restorative rest to Your child and to those they love, quiet their minds and bodies and let them lie down in Your peace. Touch those suffering with lung issues and the heart issue, lay Your healing hand upon them, ease their breathing, strengthen their hearts, restore them quickly if it is Your will, and sustain them and their families with Your comfort and hope. Lord, we also ask for deliverance and purity of mind, forgive lustful thoughts, cleanse the heart, renew the mind by Your Holy Spirit, give power to take every thought captive to Christ, to flee temptation and to walk in holiness. Fill this longing with a greater love for You and for what is pure. Help us all to live in a way that honors You. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, and we bring your requests before the throne of grace.
You ask for good rest, and we are reminded that our Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. There is a rest He gives at the first coming, and there is a rest you shall find as you learn of Him. Learn of Him, take His yoke upon you voluntarily, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. It is not rest with the yoke off, but with the yoke on, rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service. Let your mind be made like the mind of Christ, and you shall find a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest. Trust and you shall rest, for we who have believed do enter into rest.
You ask for health and for healing for those with lung trouble and for the heart issue, and for quick healing. We hear this and rejoice that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue, and they change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one. We pray that the Lord, who perceives our thoughts and our needs, would lay His healing hand upon those lungs and upon that heart, and grant according to His wise and tender thoughts, which are higher than our thoughts as the heavens are higher than the earth. His thoughts toward us are constant, kind, wise, tender, gracious and perfect, and He forgives freely those who rest on Jesus, and He heals according to His perfect will.
You ask also for help against lustful thoughts. The text speaks of thoughts, and says, My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. If our thoughts run one way and God's thoughts run another, we cannot have fellowship with Him. Our thoughts must be conformed to God's thoughts. His thoughts become precious to us as we think upon them, and holy thoughts of His precious thoughts place us near to God, so that when we awake we are still with Him. The way to be kept from evil thoughts is to have the mind of Christ, to let adornments and habits be such as may lead thoughts aright and never suggest evil. We pray that He would give you the mind of Christ and keep your thoughts stayed upon Him.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee for Thy goodness. We come to Jesus that Thou wouldst give rest, and teach us of Christ that we may find rest unto our souls. Look in mercy upon those for whom we pray, upon the lungs that labour and the heart that is weak, and be pleased to grant healing as seemeth good in Thy sight, for Thou art the God who healeth. Grant quick healing if it be Thy will, and in all things give patience and trust. Cleanse our thoughts, conform them to Thine own, and keep us from lustful imaginations. Let the healing leaves of Christ be applied to our nature, that we may be made whole in body and soul, pardoned and healed by the same blessed hand. Keep us near to Thee, and when we awake may we be still with Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
