We join you in lifting up your life and your family before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in the wonderful name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We are encouraged by your desire for God's favor, love, healing and protection over your household and we stand with you for these things. We pray for His gracious hand to rest upon you, for His love to be made known more deeply to you each day, and for His healing and restoring power where you need it. Scripture assures us that Yahweh is the one who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He has promised But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. We also join you in praying for sweet and peaceful sleep, for we know it is a gift from Him. In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety in Psalm 4:8 and He gives sleep to his loved ones in Psalm 127:2.
We lift up your workplace to the Lord and ask for His blessing upon the work of your hands. We pray that He would grant you favor with your boss and coworkers and give you wisdom, strength and grace for each task so that nothing feels beyond what you can manage with His help. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men in Colossians 3:23, and we pray that your diligence and kindness would be a testimony of His goodness there. We also pray Yahweh will keep you from all evil and keep your soul as promised in Psalm 121:7-8, and that He would establish the work of your hands as in Psalm 90:17.
We bring your son before the Lord as he begins his new job and we ask for favor and safety over him, that God would guide his steps, give him skill and integrity, and guard his coming and going. We pray also for his family, that their home would be strengthened in love and unity and that all would be well with them as they walk with the Lord. And we especially lift up the little one at preschool, asking for the Lord's tender protection and overflowing joy over this precious child, for children are a heritage of Yahweh in Psalm 127:3 and Jesus welcomes them with great love.
You asked for extra guardian angels and the protection of the blood over your lives and we understand your heart for complete safety in Christ. We want to gently encourage you with what Scripture teaches, that angels are ministering spirits sent by God Himself to serve those who will inherit salvation in Hebrews 1:14, and that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11. It is God who commands them according to His perfect will, not us, and we can trust Him to assign exactly what we need. Likewise the blood of Jesus is our precious covering not as a phrase to be repeated but as the reality of our redemption through faith in His sacrifice, for we are cleansed and protected because He shed His blood for us and we overcome because of the blood of the Lamb in Revelation 12:11. To be under that blood is to belong to Christ by faith and to rest in His finished work.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your steadfast love that never fails and for Your faithfulness to this family. We ask You to pour out Your favor and keep them in Your perfect peace. Cover this dear one and each family member with Your presence, heal any sickness or weariness, and grant deep, restful sleep each night. Bless the work that is done at the workplace, give grace in every relationship with boss and coworkers, and provide manageable tasks and wisdom for each day. Lord, go before this son as he starts his new job, let Your hand guide him, keep him safe, and bless his family with harmony and provision. Place Your hand of protection and joy upon the little one at preschool, let no harm come near, and fill that little heart with laughter and security in Your love. Command Your angels to guard them in all their ways and keep them in the shelter of Your wings, and let them daily rest in the power of the blood of Jesus shed for their salvation and protection. We ask that You would bless them and keep them, make Your face to shine upon them and give them peace as promised in Numbers 6:24-26. We entrust all of these needs to You in the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen.
