We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness endures forever. We lift up your requests together before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus.
We pray for the good rest you asked for. The Lord desires to give His beloved rest and to restore the body and soul. As it is written, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. And Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We ask the Father to quiet your mind and heart at night, to grant you deep and peaceful sleep, and to renew your strength.
We bring before the Lord the loved ones you mentioned by name, the one whose health you are concerned for, and the two dear ones facing lung issues and a heart issue. We ask for the Lord's healing hand upon each of them. We remember the promise, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We pray as Jeremiah declares, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We ask for quick healing according to His perfect will, for wisdom for doctors and caregivers, for comfort and peace for these dear ones and for you as you intercede for them, and for faith to trust Him whether healing comes instantly or through time. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.
We also join you in praying against lustful thoughts, and we want to speak clearly and lovingly about this struggle. God calls us to purity of heart and mind, for He sees not only our actions but our thoughts. Jesus said, but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Therefore we are commanded, Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Lustful thoughts are not harmless, they must be taken captive and turned from. We rebuke this temptation in Jesus name and we encourage you to actively bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. This means turning away quickly, guarding what the eyes see and the mind dwells on, renewing the mind through the Word, and pursuing what is pure. As we are taught, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We encourage you to stay in Scripture daily, to pray immediately when temptation comes, and to seek accountability with a mature believer if needed, trusting that God is faithful and will with the temptation also make the way of escape 1 Corinthians 10:13.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, His death for our sins and His resurrection, that we are forgiven and can boldly approach God. We pray you are resting in that salvation and coming to the Father always in Jesus name.

Your thanksgiving for the goodness of God is fitting and right, for every mercy flows from His gracious hand, and it is well to begin prayer with praise.
We join you in praying for good rest. The rest which Christ gives is a present rest, rest now, not only rest after death, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. It is the rest of a learner who takes His yoke upon him. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service, not with the yoke cast off but with His yoke on, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We pray that the Lord will give you this rest and that you shall find more and more of it as you learn of Him, a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest unto your soul. Trust and you shall rest, and even those who labour for the Lord Jesus shall find that in His service they do rest, as birds that sleep upon the wing.
We lift before the Lord those you have named who are in need of healing, those with lung trouble and heart trouble, and we ask for quick healing according to His will. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one in His hand. We pray that He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds will lay His healing touch upon these dear ones, and if it please Him, restore them speedily, and in any case give them that deeper healing of soul which makes the nature other than it was before.
And concerning lustful thoughts, we pray with you as our Lord taught us, Lead us not into temptation. The word includes trial, for all temptation is trial from God though temptation to sin is from another quarter, and temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous. When lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death. Sanctification is the great separator of Christians from the world, and purity must not be lightly esteemed. We pray that God would keep you from going into temptation, for he who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is not sincere before God. May He withdraw you from the place of peril, guard your eyes and your mind, and preserve you in purity and uprightness, so that that Evil One touches you not. Remember that the same trial may be a temptation from Satan's side and a trial from God's side, as with Job, but God is able to make the trial a means of refining and to bring great benefit out of it while keeping you from the mischief of the temptation, that you may stand fast at the end of the day.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee for Thy goodness which endures continually. Give to Thy servant rest in Christ, even now, and cause him to find rest in taking Christ's yoke and learning of Him. Look in mercy upon those who are sick, upon lungs that labour and hearts that faint, and put forth Thy healing hand. Thou art the great Physician, and the leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, grant healing as seemeth good to Thee. Forgive sin, and let healing flow where pardon has come. And deliver Thy servant from lustful thoughts and from all temptation. Lead him not into temptation, but deliver him from evil. Let Thy grace keep him, let Thy Spirit purify his affections, and let his mind be made like the mind of Christ. Preserve him blameless and make him to walk in holiness, for Christ's sake. Amen.
