Thank you for sharing these honest requests from your heart. It is good to bring every need before the Lord, both the needs of the body and the needs of the soul.
You mentioned a desire for good rest. Scripture speaks of a rest that remains for the people of God, and it is entered by believing, not by striving in our own strength. We cannot rest in our works or our ability to figure things out. True rest comes when we trust that Jesus has finished the work on our behalf and that God is faithful to keep His promises. As you feel weary or anxious, the invitation is to commit your way to the Lord, trust Him, and wait patiently for Him to act. He knows how to bring His will to pass, and when we place our cares in His hands we can cease from our own efforts and find quietness in Him.
You also asked for healing, for lung issues and for a heart issue, and for quick recovery. The Bible shows that God cares for our physical bodies. When Jesus walked on earth He healed many who were brought to Him, and Matthew connects that ministry to the prophecy of Isaiah that He bore our sicknesses. God is able to touch the body and bring healing, and it is right to ask Him for it. At the same time the greatest miracle He does is the forgiveness of sins and the gift of new life in Christ. Whether He brings immediate healing or walks with you through a longer process, keep looking to Him as your healer and your Savior, trusting His love and His timing for what is best.
You mentioned struggling against lustful thoughts. Be encouraged that temptation itself is not sin. Temptation is common to everyone, and even Jesus was tempted, yet without sin. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and we yield to it. The Scripture teaches that a person is drawn away by his own desires and enticed, and that lust, when followed, gives birth to sin. The flesh is never satisfied by indulging it. The only way to deal with lust is to starve it and to choose instead to walk by the Spirit. Each temptation brings a choice, to walk according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. God has made a way to stand firm, and He will help you as you turn to Him in those moments, asking for His strength to overcome and to live a holy life before Him.
I will pray for you. Father, I thank You for Your goodness and for hearing us when we pray. I ask You to give deep and peaceful rest to this dear one, rest that comes through simple faith in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. I lift up the health needs mentioned, the lungs and the heart, and ask for Your healing touch according to Your mercy and wisdom. Bring restoration and strength, and give patience in waiting. I also ask for victory over temptation. By Your Spirit, give power to say no to the flesh and yes to You, to starve what is not of You and to be renewed in mind and heart. Help this one to commit every care to You and to find rest in Your care. In the name of Jesus, amen.
