Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in thanking God for His goodness. It is right to give thanks first, for thanksgiving keeps the heart steady even when troubles press upon us.
We pray with you for good rest. Christ Himself says to take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart, and we shall find rest for our souls. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We ask the Lord to grant you that true rest, both sleep for the body and peace for the soul, and to keep your hope fixed on what is laid up in heaven, which is secure and does not fail.
We bring before the Lord those you named who need healing, those with lung trouble and the heart condition, and we ask for quick healing according to His mercy and wisdom. God is faithful, and He knows our frame. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon them, to give skill to those who care for them, and to grant patience and comfort while they wait.
You also asked for help against lustful thoughts. This struggle is common, and Scripture says no temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Pray for that way of escape to be made clear, and turn quickly to it. Flee what stirs such thoughts, guard the eyes and the heart, fill the mind with what is pure, and walk in love, for love is the more excellent way. When a man loves as he ought, with charity that is patient and pure, that love itself teaches chastity and moderation. Seek the Lord in prayer at the moment temptation comes, remember His presence, and ask for strength to endure.
May the Lord grant you grace to stand firm, to find rest in Christ, to see His faithfulness in every trial, and to grow in holiness and love. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, who alone brings salvation and who will give refreshment to those who labor and trust in Him.
