We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for every good and perfect gift comes from above and His steadfast love endures forever. We praise Him with you for His mercy that is new every morning.
We lift up your request for good rest before the Father. We pray that He will grant you peaceful and restorative sleep, for He gives sleep to His loved ones as it is written in Psalm 127:2. We ask that He quiet your mind and body and let you lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make us dwell in safety in Psalm 4:8.
We also bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including your own health and the loved ones on your heart. We pray for the one with lung issues and the one with a heart issue, asking for the Lord's healing hand to be upon them. We pray for quick healing and complete restoration, believing the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Psalm 103:3 who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also pray as in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.
We want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. This is a battle many face, and God calls us to purity and holiness. Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. We are called to flee sexual immorality as in 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We encourage you to flee from temptation, to guard your eyes and mind, and to fill your mind with what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report as in Philippians 4:8. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9. We pray that the Holy Spirit will strengthen you to walk in purity, whether as a single person called to abstain until marriage between a man and a woman, or within marriage where intimacy is to be honored, and that you will find victory through Christ.
We noticed you prayed to the Lord and we rejoice in your faith, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and brought near to God. We encourage you to always come in His precious name.
We pray together now, Father, we thank You for Your goodness and Your endless mercy. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You grant our dear one deep and peaceful rest and renewed strength. Touch the bodies of those we have lifted up, heal lungs and heal hearts, breathe Your life into them and bring quick and complete healing according to Your will. Cleanse our minds and hearts from lustful thoughts, create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us, help us to flee temptation and to walk in holiness by the power of Your Spirit. Forgive us where we have sinned in thought, word and deed, and help us to fix our eyes on Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
