Your thankfulness for God's goodness is the right place to begin, and it is good to bring these needs before Him in prayer.
For rest, Scripture points to a rest that remains for the people of God that is entered only by faith. It is not found in our own efforts or striving, but in trusting that Jesus has done the work fully. When anxiety and turmoil fill the heart, that is a sign to turn again to belief and to rest in what He is and what He has done. I pray that you will enter into that rest more deeply, that your heart will be quieted as you trust Him, and that He will grant you good, peaceful sleep as you lean on Him.
For the health needs you mentioned, the lung issues and the heart issue and the desire for quick healing, we ask the Lord for His mercy and healing touch. He knows each person and each need, and we ask Him to bring strength, recovery, and wholeness according to His will, and to give wisdom to those providing care.
For the struggle with lustful thoughts, God's Word speaks directly to the heart. Jesus taught that what comes out of the mouth comes from what fills the heart, and that purity of heart matters before God. To the pure, all things are seen with purity, but when the heart is defiled, even the mind and conscience become defiled. Lustful thoughts are not to be entertained or excused, but to be brought into the light. The Word of God discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart, and it shows us what is there. Like David, we can pray, search me, O God, and know my heart, and see if there is any harmful way in me. The psalmist also spoke of inclining his heart to keep God's statutes and of hating vain and empty thoughts while loving God's law. True change happens not only in the mind but in a settled resolve of the heart to follow Him. God Himself works in us to give both the desire and the ability to do what pleases Him, so we can ask Him to place His desires in our hearts and to make our delight to do His will.
Let us pray. Father, thank You for Your goodness. We come to You through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation. We ask You to lead this dear one into Your rest through faith, to calm anxiety and grant refreshing rest. Lay Your healing hand upon those with lung trouble and heart trouble, and bring quick and complete healing as You will. Cleanse the heart and mind from lustful thoughts, make the heart pure before You, and incline it to love Your Word and to walk in Your ways. Give a firm resolve in the heart to believe You and to obey You, and work in this life both to will and to do Your good pleasure. In Jesus name, Amen.
