Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are praying with you in this time of need. God knows that our nature requires necessary food and He does not despise that need. When He taught us to pray, He taught us to say, Give us this day our daily bread. He did not tell us to pray for riches or for delicate living or costly things, but for bread only, and for bread for one day, so that we learn not to take anxious thought for tomorrow but to trust Him day by day.
We pray that He who is able to nourish the hungry even by His word will provide for you. The Scripture says, He that supplied seed to the sower will both minister bread for your food and multiply your seed for sowing. He is faithful to give what is sufficient, and He often does so through the generosity of His people, so that having sufficiency we may abound to every good work.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone we have access to Your mercy, we lift up this need before You. You know hunger and You know every want. Provide daily bread for this household. Open doors for provision, move the hearts of those who can help, and give wisdom and opportunity for work and support. Sustain not only the body but also the soul, for man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth. Grant peace, strengthen faith, and keep this family from despair, reminding them that You care for them and see their need. We ask this in the hope of Christ, Amen.
