Your thanksgiving is good and right, and I join you in giving thanks to God for His goodness. It is fitting to come to Him both with gratitude and with your needs, for He is the God who keeps His people and neither slumbers nor sleeps, even while we sleep.
I pray for you and your household tonight, that the Lord will grant you true rest and peace. May He guard your hearts and minds in Christ, calm your nerves, and quiet every anxious thought. As you lie down, remember that your peace does not depend on perfect circumstances but on His faithful keeping. He watches over you through the night, and He is able to give calmness and deep rest to those who trust in Him.
I also pray for tomorrow, that God in His mercy will grant you safe travels and good health. May He go before you on the way, keep you from harm, and strengthen your body. Pray with a sober and watchful heart, casting your cares on Him, and asking for a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and honesty as you walk with Him day by day.
May the God of peace Himself make you steadfast, keep your foot from being moved, and fill you with His Spirit, so that even when cares arise within, you may know His steady calm. Commit your household, your travels, and your health into His hands, and rest in His care.
Father, we thank You for Your goodness. Grant to this dear one and to the whole household peaceful sleep tonight and renewed strength. Calm every nerve and grant Your peace that passes understanding. Keep them in safety and health tomorrow, and let all they do be in Your will and for Your glory. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
