We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for rest, peace, and protection for yourself and your household. The Lord indeed knows the depths of our hearts, including the anxieties that can weigh heavily upon us. Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and restlessness that seeks to disturb your peace tonight. The enemy desires to steal your rest and fill your mind with worry, but we stand on the promise of God’s Word in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." We declare that your household is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for deep, restorative sleep for you and your loved ones tonight. Let your peace, which transcends all understanding, settle over your home like a blanket, calming every nerve and quieting every fear. We ask for safe travels and good health tomorrow, trusting in Your provision and protection. May Your angels encamp around you, guarding you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also encourage you to meditate on God’s promises as you prepare for sleep. Remember that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If anxiety tries to creep in, speak the name of Jesus aloud, for there is power in His name to break every chain and bring peace.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and love. We ask that You fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, granting them the calmness and rest they need tonight. You might set aside a few quiet minutes together as a household before bed to simply be still and pray, and lay out what you can for tomorrow's travel tonight so the morning feels less rushed. Nothing to fix everything at once, just a little space for calm.
If restlessness or nervousness continues to be a frequent burden, it can be good to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor and with your doctor as well, alongside prayer.

Your prayer for rest and peace is heard, and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. It is a good and needful thing to seek the Lord for the quiet of your household, for safe keeping on the way, and for health on the morrow, and He who numbers the hairs of your head knows the trembling of your nerves and the weariness that presses upon you.
The Scripture says, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not drawn from ourselves, but from the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. When the mind is stayed upon Christ, when we trust Him fully, there is a calm that remains even when duties press and sorrows surge around. On Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found, and in His keeping we are safe.
There is a sleep which the Lord gives to His beloved. It is not the heavy sleep of carelessness, but the sleep of a quiet conscience, the sleep of contentment and of security, given by God to those who rest in Him. You may lie down in peace, for the Lord Himself watches over you and over your household through the night. Cast your anxiety upon Him, for the very anxiety which comes from being in a difficulty unfits you to meet it, but trust in Christ fits the heart for rest and for service.
We pray together now. O Lord our God, we thank You for Your goodness which follows us each day. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and peace with God, that You would grant to this dear soul and to all within that household a night of quiet rest, free from restless thoughts, and a calmness of spirit that comes from trusting Your promises. Keep them in perfect peace. Grant safe travels and health according to Your good will tomorrow, and let Your presence go with them wherever they go. Let them know that great peace have they which love Your law, and that Your peace, which passes all understanding, shall keep their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
