We hear your heart’s cry for change and protection, and we join you in bringing these concerns before our Heavenly Father. The Bible reminds us that our trust should not be in luck or chance, but in the sovereign Lord who holds all things in His hands. "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh" (Proverbs 16:33). True security and blessing come from walking in His will, not from fleeting fortune.
We must also gently remind you that prayer is not a transaction with an impersonal force, but a relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step toward true change and lasting safety.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are the source of every good gift and the keeper of our lives. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw them close to Your heart. Lord, if they do not yet know You personally, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Father, we ask that You would shift their perspective from seeking luck to trusting in Your perfect plan. Replace fear and uncertainty with faith and peace. Guard their heart, mind, and body from all harm, both seen and unseen. Surround them with Your angels and lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
Lord, if there are areas in their life where they are not aligned with Your will, whether in relationships, habits, or priorities, we ask that You convict them gently but firmly by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the strength to turn away from anything that displeases You and to walk in obedience.
We declare over them the promise of Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." May they experience Your goodness, provision, and protection in every area of their life.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Bringing those into the light, even just for yourself, often becomes the place where you can see the next step more clearly. That step might be a conversation with a trusted friend or pastor, or a small change in how you handle a recurring situation. You don’t have to figure out the whole future at once.
We are praying for your protection and for a genuine turn for the better, not just in circumstances but in hope and clarity.

Let us have done with this word luck, for the child of God has a better portion than chance. There is no luck where the Lord reigneth; all things are ordered by Him who sitteth upon the throne. It is God upon the throne whom we trust, not the blind turn of a wheel. Ask rather that He would change your heart and order your steps, for the great change is not something you must wait to feel before you come; come to God for it through Jesus Christ, and He will give it.
Your prayer to be kept safe is right. Yet outward keeping is a small matter compared to the keeping of the soul. Our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior. He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Flee to Him. Trust in His blood and righteousness, and then you are safe indeed, for neither luck nor loss, life nor death, can pluck you out of His hand.

While you are in this threshing floor, there is still time to be changed from chaff into wheat. Do not seek safety merely from bodily harm or hardship. Seek to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, so that you may be gentle and harmless, a sheep kept by the Shepherd even in the midst of wolves. Worldly good fortune is the flower of the grass; it appears for a little while and then vanishes. True safety is to be kept from sin and to remain faithful to Christ in every circumstance.
Pray then after this manner: O Lord, I do not ask for luck, for You are not a giver of chance but the governor of all things. Change me where I need changing, and keep me from all evil, especially from sin. Renew my mind by Your Holy Spirit, and guard me in dangers, that whether I live or die, I may be Yours through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
