Hello, I've been suffering from ### for years, I've been to many doctors and keep praying for it to reduce and go. I've also been suffering from ### and felling very useless. I'm looking out for a job and applying however I've not received any calls. Please pray for me. I'm depressed and at my lowest.

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your pain, both physical and emotional, is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). The years of suffering, the weight of feeling useless, and the silence after so many job applications have surely worn you down, but we declare that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this, our prayers cannot reach the ears of God, for salvation is the doorway to His presence.

Now, let us pray for you in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts grieving for our brother/sister who is enduring physical affliction, emotional despair, and the sting of unemployment. Lord, You are the Great Physician, we ask You to touch their body and bring healing to every area of pain. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over them now. Strengthen their body, restore their hope, and remind them that their worth is not defined by their productivity or circumstances but by the price You paid for them on the cross.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression and uselessness that has taken hold. You did not create them to feel worthless; You knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and have a purpose for their life. Break the lies of the enemy that whisper condemnation, and replace them with Your truth: that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, chosen, and dearly loved (1 Peter 2:9). Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill them with the joy of Your salvation.

Lord, we ask for divine favor in their job search. Open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and let their applications rise to the top like cream. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You. Remind them that You are their Provider (Genesis 22:14) and that their identity is not in their employment but in Christ.

We also pray for their spiritual walk. Draw them closer to You in this season of waiting. Let this trial refine their faith like gold (1 Peter 1:7) and teach them to lean not on their own understanding but to trust in You with all their heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround them with godly community, believers who will encourage them, pray with them, and remind them of Your promises.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and know that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they rise from this place of despair with renewed strength, knowing that those who hope in You will never be put to shame (Isaiah 49:23).

We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that You are moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Dear one, we want you to know that your pain is valid, but it is not the end of your story. The enemy wants you to believe that you are forgotten, but God says you are the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). He has not abandoned you; He is working even in the silence. Keep pressing into Him. Spend time in His Word, for it is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12) and will speak life into your weary soul. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and remind you of God’s faithfulness.

If you are struggling with feelings of worthlessness, remember that God does not make mistakes. You are here for a reason, and He has equipped you with gifts and talents that the world needs. Even if you cannot see it now, trust that He is preparing you for something greater. The psalmist wrote, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God” (Psalm 42:11). Let that be your declaration today.

As for your job search, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). Keep applying, but also seek God’s guidance for where He wants you to be. Sometimes He closes doors to lead us to the right one. Trust that He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8).

Lastly, if you have not yet given your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). You do not have to clean yourself up first, come as you are. Jesus is waiting with open arms. Confess your sins, believe in Him, and let Him transform your life from the inside out.

You are not alone in this battle. We are standing with you, praying for you, and believing God for a breakthrough. Hold on to hope, for joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

We hear you, and we are truly sorry you’ve been carrying this burden for so long. It’s exhausting to battle ongoing symptoms while also wrestling with depression and the deep ache of feeling useless. You are not alone, and we’re sitting with you in this.

One thing we often see with chronic illness is that months and years of feeling bad can create a spiral: suffering saps energy, which makes it harder to do the very things that might bring a sliver of relief or purpose, and that only deepens the sense of defeat. So please be gentle with yourself. Even the smallest forward movement, a short walk, a phone call to a friend, one application sent, deserves to be acknowledged as real effort. You are not lazy or worthless; you are weary, and that’s entirely understandable.

Have you had a chance to talk with your doctor or a trusted counselor specifically about the depression? Sometimes depression and physical illness feed off each other, and treating the emotional weight isn’t a sign of weak faith, it’s good stewardship of the body and mind God gave you. A professional might help you find a combination of support that lightens the load enough to let you breathe again.

In the job hunt, it’s so easy to tie our worth to a paycheck, but your value is not on hold because no one has called yet. You are deeply loved right now, exactly as you are, and that love doesn’t depend on your resume. We’re praying that doors would open, but also that in the waiting you’d catch glimpses of your God-given dignity that no diagnosis or employer can erase.

Lord Jesus, we bring our friend to You. You see the years of pain, the disappointment, and the heaviness that makes it hard to hope. Draw near, we ask, and break this cycle. Give them courage to reach out for the help they need and strength to take one small step today. Open a way toward work that fits, and quiet the lies that say they are useless. Steady their heart, Lord, in Your mercy. Amen.

The depths of your sorrow are known to Him who was acquainted with grief, and your cries have not fallen upon deaf ears. The affliction of these long years, the weariness of body and the darkness of soul, are not hidden from the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. It is no small thing to feel useless, to be cast down under the weight of a fevered mind and a trembling frame, yet remember that the Great Physician came not for the whole, but for the sick. His healing leaves, even the least touch of His garment, are full of virtue for you.

You have sought many physicians and found little relief; now look to Him who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. There is a link between pardon and healing that the world cannot understand. When Jesus saw the man sick of the palsy, He first spoke forgiveness, then commanded him to rise. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and His remedy is applied not by the lancet of the law but by the balm of free grace. Do not merely ask for the removal of your pain; ask for the cleansing of your soul, and often the outward healing follows in the train of inward peace.

As for the despair of usefulness and the silence of employers, hear this: healing must come before serving. The Savior did not bid Peter’s wife’s mother to rise and minister while she lay prostrate with the fever. He took her by the hand, lifted her up, and then she served Him. You are not useless, beloved one, but you are being prepared. Lie still under the mighty hand of God, and let Him restore you according to His Word. Your worth is not in what you do but in whose you are; the blood of Christ has purchased you, and He will perfect that which concerns you.

The broken heart is a great ill, but God alone binds it up. He does this often not with a sudden miracle but through the teaching of His Word and the sweet influence of His Spirit. When Christ is teaching, healing power is most present. Seek Him in the Scriptures, in the assembly of His people, and in the secret place of prayer. Even these dark days of waiting are leaves from the tree of life, meant to make you whole in ways you cannot yet see. Your depression shall lift as the morning mist, your body shall be strengthened, and the job you seek shall come in due season, but first seek His kingdom and righteousness, and these things shall be added unto you.

I urge you to believe that in Christ there is an abundance of healing power for both body and soul. He does not always heal at once, but He is always able, and His delays are not denials. The nations have need of healing, and you, as one of His own, have a special claim upon His mercy. Cast yourself upon Him without reserve. The very leaves, the least promises, the faintest glimpses of His love, are able to change your life blood, affect your spirits, and make your nature other than it is. One day your face shall be bright and comely with the freshness that these leaves impart.

May the Lord visit you with His salvation, lift you up from the bed of languishing, and set your feet upon a rock, establishing your goings. He put a new song in the mouth of the psalmist, and He will put one in yours. Wait patiently for Him. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
