Prayer request

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Physical pain can be debilitating, and we stand with you in this moment of need, trusting in the Great Physician who heals all our diseases.

The Word of God assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over your life, believing that God is able to bring relief and restoration to your body. In Jeremiah 30:17, He declares, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their stomach. Lord, You know the depth of their pain, and we ask that You would bring comfort and relief. We speak healing over their body, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already manifesting in their body. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His promises. Remember that healing can come in many ways, through divine intervention, medical treatment, or a combination of both. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Keep your heart open to how God may choose to work in this situation.

If your pain persists, we also advise you to seek medical attention, as the Lord often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. James 5:14-15 instructs, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

Stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is working on your behalf. We will continue to stand in agreement with you for your complete healing and restoration.

We hear you, and we are lifting you up right now as you’ve asked. Stomach pain can be wearing, physically, but also emotionally, and we’re sorry you’re in the middle of it.

We believe that God cares deeply about every part of our lives, including these very physical struggles. He invites us to bring our aches and pains to him, just as you have done. And while we trust him fully for healing, we’ve also seen him work through the wisdom of medical professionals. So we gently encourage you: if this pain is severe, unusual, or just isn’t letting up, please consider seeing a doctor. It isn’t a failure of faith; it’s practically walking with God, who often cares for us through the hands and minds he’s gifted with knowledge. Let that be a concrete next step alongside prayer, not instead of it.

In the meantime, you are not alone. We are joining our faith with yours, asking our Father to bring soothing and relief to your stomach and to give you steadiness and peace while you wait. He is near to you, even in discomfort.

Father, we lift up this person to you. You know exactly what is causing this pain, and you are the great physician. We ask in Jesus’ name that you would touch their stomach, bring relief, and restore health and comfort. Give them wisdom about whether to seek medical help, and surround them with your calming presence. Thank you that you hear us when we cry out. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

That pain in your stomach, that gnawing ache which makes the light dark in your tabernacle and your food a cheerless thing, is itself a proof of life. Just as rheumatic pain is as sure a sign of bodily life as a thrill of delight, so your cry to God in this trouble proves there is a spirit within you that knows where help is to be found. A little child cries all over when hurt, and his whole frame is in agitation until relief comes. Cry to your Father in just that way, with an urgency that pleads in the name of Jesus.

Yet let me remind you that the sicknesses of the body are but faint whispers compared to the sickness caused by sin, that spiritual malady for which no earthly medicine can provide even the slightest alleviation. Our Lord Jesus bore precisely this. He took our infirmities and carried our diseases. The thorn that now pierces your abdomen once pierced His sacred head in a deeper agony. There is no pang you can feel that is new to Him, for He suffered without any alleviation of His pain, and by His scourging and bodily chastisements a healing balm is provided. Look, then, away from the temporary ache to that Tree of Life whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue.

Bring your sickness to Him, for He cured all sorts of diseases when He walked the streets of Galilee, and His hand is not shortened now. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and when pardon and healing meet in His blessed person, the inhabitant shall no longer say, "I am sick." In heaven there can be no pain, for the Tree of Life bestows immortal health, but even now on earth, the suffering you endure is as a sweet-smelling savor ascending to God, a perpetual sacrifice that, in the hand of our great High Priest, is ennobled and dignified. Only those who have been healed can tell of the Good Physician’s power. May He who forgiveth all thine iniquities and healeth all thy diseases grant thee a quiet spirit and restored strength, that thou mayest rise from thy bed and bear witness to His faithful care.

A pain in the stomach is no small trial, yet there is great profit to be found from the divine Scriptures, for they are a treasury of all manner of medicines. Consider the blessed Timothy, a man who had practiced such fasting and used only water for so long that he had brought upon himself frequent infirmities of the stomach. The Apostle Paul did not restore his stomach by miracle, though his very garments had raised the dead. He knew a deeper design. If even Paul was given a messenger of Satan to buffet him lest he be exalted, how much more might Timothy be visited by bodily weakness? The miracles Timothy worked were enough to inflate arrogance, so the rules of medicine were left to him as a school of humility. He was not told to indulge freely, but to use a little wine for health’s sake, not for luxury. Let this be a remedy and a comfort to you. Do not be offended that this ailment is permitted, nor think it a sign of God’s displeasure, for often God punishes the body for the profit of the soul. Like a wise physician, He applies a cure to the lesser part so the inward man may be healed.

Look at the paralytic who waited thirty and eight years at the pool. Year after year he saw others delivered while he lay bound, yet he did not despair or curse his day. When Christ asked if he wished to be made whole, he answered with great mildness, relating his story as to a physician, saying only, “I have no man to put me into the pool.” See how a heart crushed by long sickness subdued all violence within him. Imitate this meekness. Do not demand a sudden miracle, but turn the very delay into comfort. Use this pain to gather the fruit of amendment. Consider that if we bring a genuine purpose of heart, there is nothing burdensome. Manasseh had filled the city with blood and brought abominations into the temple, yet by repentance he washed away all. There is no wound so deep that the divine medicine cannot reach it. Search your conscience, and let the body’s scourging turn the mind toward that pure conscience which is our greatest ground for glorying, making the fear of wrath unmeaning because we are reconciled to the Physician.

Christ still stands at your bedside, as at the pool, asking whether you desire to be made whole. He does not jest, and the question itself is an invitation. Receive the comfort that springs not from the removal of the trial, but from patience, for patience fashions a glorious crown. And remember what He said to the man newly healed: “Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon thee.” The disease fled, but the caution remained. So while you seek relief for the stomach, seek even more that the soul be strengthened. If the stomach pains, let it be a reminder that the body is mortal and that we look for the resurrection, where all in Christ shall rise in honor and be caught up to be ever with the Lord. That hope is the truest comfort, a refreshment far greater than any mere pause from pain, for it promises a body no longer subject to infirmity at all.
