Prayer Request

You ask prayer for the establishment of your company, for divine wisdom, for righteous paths, and that this organization might honor God. These are good things to seek, yet I must speak plainly about what it means to seek the righteousness of God in such a venture.

There is a righteousness which men go about to establish for themselves, and there is the righteousness which comes from God by faith. Many who appear zealous for God remain ignorant of His righteousness and seek to establish their own, which is a righteousness of works, of toil, and of human striving. They justify themselves in every respect while their truest need remains unmoved. This more than anything leads away from true faith. When you pray for a company that honors Christ, ask yourself whether you seek to build a monument to your own integrity and labor, or whether you have submitted utterly to the righteousness which God gives, which is not from labors but from grace.

What is the philosophy that is above? It is an exact life, not a soft one. The wisdom you need is not merely skill for decisions, but virtue itself. To be sparing of wealth, to regard the naked brother, to consider that we bear a common nature with all, to know the proper use of resources, this is true wisdom. The fool has said in his heart there is no God, and the fool wraps himself in his own garments while the image of God is famishing. What will it profit your company to gain genuine clients and investors, if it does not learn the wisdom that despises glory and knows that human things are nothing?

You seek the growth and resources for this mission. Hear then the economy of God. The one who scatters abroad and gives to the poor has a righteousness that endures forever. This is the spiritual return. God is able to multiply your seed for sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness. But understand the order: the scattering comes first, the righteousness that abides follows. If this company is to be a channel of blessing, it must not cling to wealth as if immortal. True almsgiving, true compassion, true consideration of the common nature of man, these produce the unspeakable fruits of righteousness.

Pray for protection from every obstacle and evil plan. Yet know that the warfare of those who would do God’s business is not with men, but with devils and incorporeal powers. The armor for this is not formed of hides and steel. It is truth and righteousness and faith and all true love of wisdom. Not one of these weapons is forged in a marketplace. You cannot face the enemy of all righteousness if your hand clings first to the ledger and only second to the grace from above. The captain of this warfare is God Himself. Submit the company into that hand not as a matter of pious words, but in the full posture of faith which considers the present life as nothing and is neither too delighted with prosperity nor too grieved with the opposite condition.

To seek righteousness is noble, but seek it by faith, not as if it were established by the works of a successful enterprise. The King of Righteousness and Peace has already made you righteous if you are in Christ. Let the company’s first honor be to display that gift, through honesty that costs you, excellence that serves the lowly, and compassion that gives without calculation. That is the seed which, cast into the ground, produces a harvest of righteousness no business plan can manufacture. May God grant you this wisdom.

It is good that you desire the Lord to establish the work of your hands and to grant wisdom for decisions steeped in integrity. Your longing to see this company honor Christ and serve people with honesty and excellence echoes a profound biblical truth. The healthy growth of any endeavor does not begin with strategy alone but with a deep reverence for the Lord.

To fear the Lord is to hate evil. There is no separating the two. If you want the Lord to direct your path and open the right doors, the foundation must be a decisive departure from the way of darkness. Do not tolerate or make peace with practices that God calls perverse, even if the business world celebrates them. The simple path forward is to ponder the course of your business dealings and refuse to turn to the right or to the left into moral compromise. When you are tempted to adopt a crooked practice because a client or investor demands it, remember the wisdom that says, "Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and run from it." Do not eat the bread of those whose minds are set on evil, for their gain is a trap.

Praying for provision and for the right partners means you must also commit to honoring the Lord with the substance He entrusts to you. The promise of guidance and a straight path is given to those who lean not on their own understanding. As you seek Him in every decision, let that seeking be matched by a conscious removal of your foot from evil. A man whose ways please the Lord will see even his adversaries at peace with him, but whosoever rewards evil for good will find that evil never departs from his house. So, hold fast to a clean walk. Do not justify the wicked or call greedy shortcuts good, for that is an abomination.

True wisdom will deliver you from the forward man and the flattering opportunity that leads to ruin. Build this company not on the fleeting cleverness of a perverse generation but on the solid ground of the fear of the Lord. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fixed on what is pure, honorable, and just. As the Lord brings channels of blessing, test them against this: if it requires you to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, it is not His open door but a snare. The health of this organization, like marrow to your bones, will come from departing from evil and serving those you touch with a genuine compassion that reflects Christ’s own heart. Stand blameless in your dealings, and you will see the Lord's provision in His perfect way and time.
