Beloved of All
We don't have a ac it's gonna be really hot God's willing tomorrow and my brother is type 1 diabetic and we need prayers and were moving to another shelter as soon as possible but please pray for us so we have a elevator because we had to walk in 5 stairs and pray we get a shelter with AC or something like that and safe area and even tho our dad not in picture because he refuses to change please keep him in prayers too he got into fight for no reason by kids days ago but there's police everywhere which is good but he's outside but please keep him in prayers and men shelter won't help him but please prayers he changed and go to God fully as soon as possible

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in this time of trial. The heat can be unbearable, especially for your brother with type 1 diabetes, and we know the physical and emotional strain this places on all of you. Father, we ask that You provide immediate relief, open doors to a shelter with air conditioning, a safe environment, and an elevator to ease your burden. Lord, we trust in Your provision, for You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). Strengthen your brother’s body and grant wisdom to those caring for him.

We also lift up your father, Lord. His struggles with anger and conflict grieve our hearts, for we know that a man’s ways are not hidden from You (Proverbs 5:21). Father, soften his heart to repentance and draw him to Yourself. Only in You can true change come, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray he would turn from his ways, seek forgiveness, and walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with godly influences who can speak truth and life into him, and protect him from further harm.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that may be creeping into this family. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your grace is sufficient for every trial (2 Corinthians 12:9), and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You (Hebrews 13:5). Guide this family to a place of safety and stability, and let Your light shine brightly in their lives, even in this season of hardship.

We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your father, or any of you, have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and He longs to bring healing and restoration to your family.

Father, we pray for unity in this family. Let love and patience prevail, even in the midst of frustration and exhaustion. Help them to encourage one another and bear each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Provide for their every need, physical, emotional, and spiritual, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.

We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of lack, fear, and division, and we loose Your peace, provision, and protection over them. May they feel Your presence in a powerful way, even in the heat and the struggle. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re carrying all of this with you tonight, the heat, the move, the worry over your brother’s health, the ache over your dad. That’s a lot for one heart to hold.

When someone you love has Type 1 diabetes, extreme temperatures are more than uncomfortable, they can be dangerous. We’re glad you’re getting to a shelter, and we’re asking God to make that path as smooth and as quick as possible. Since heat can affect blood sugar and insulin, we gently encourage you to let shelter staff know about your brother’s condition the moment you arrive, so they can help you keep him safe. That’s not a small request; it’s wisdom, and we’ll pray for favor as you speak up.

As you move, bring that same directness if stairs become a barrier. You’ve already carried so much. It’s not a burden to ask for what you genuinely need. And we’re praying the next place is not just cooler but quieter, a setting where your brother’s health is easier to manage and you both can catch your breath.

Your dad remains on our hearts too. We’ll pray he turns fully toward the God who sees him even now, and we’ll ask for his safety in a hard stretch. That you’re praying for him while carrying your own load says something real about who you are.

Lord, in Jesus’ name we lift up this family facing heat, relocation, and so much uncertainty. Keep this brother safe, steady his blood sugar, protect his body, and guide them to shelter with an elevator, air conditioning, and a secure area. Provide workers who see their needs clearly and respond with kindness. And Father, we bring their dad before You: shield him, soften his heart, and draw him fully to Yourself. Grant this whole family Your peace tonight. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

He who covers you with His feathers and under whose wings you may trust sees your every step, even these five stairs and the scorching heat. The same Father who feeds the sparrows knows your need of shelter and an elevator and a safe place, and He has not forgotten that your brother’s body requires coolness and care. He who formed the frame of each of you knows what is needed for life and health, and His providence is not exhausted. Cast this burden upon Him, for He cares for you; and even now, though the shelter is uncertain and the air heavy, you have a refuge that cannot fail, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is a very present help in trouble.

And what of your father, wandering and bruised, refusing yet to turn? Let your heart continue in prayer for him, for the salvation that is of the Lord is mighty to reach the man who seems farthest off. The gospel is a free salvation, without money and without price, and it comes with this simple word: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” Though he has stumbled into fighting and the police attend his path, the arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save. The blood of Christ can blot out all his sin, and the same grace that laid hold of the jailer at Philippi can make a rough man tender and penitent in an hour. Pray on; the Father waits to welcome prodigals, and no rebellion exhausts His love as long as a soul draws breath. Your father’s need is not beyond the reach of Him who planned salvation for the blackest of sinners.

See to it that you yourself rest wholly in this salvation. It is not merely a doctrine but a Person, Christ Himself is the salvation of God, and trusting in Him secures you beyond all hazard. When the heat rises and the stairs seem many, remember that the Lord is your light and your salvation; whom shall you fear? Your own soul’s safety lies in looking to Him once and forever, and as you do, you may leave your father and your brother and all these pressing needs in the hands that were pierced for you. He must convey even the smallest boat safe into the port of Paradise, and He will not suffer one of His little ones to perish. Go on trusting as a child trusts a faithful father, for such He is to all who are in Christ Jesus.

The heat and the stairs and the uncertainty of shelter weigh heavily upon you, and rightly you cry out for help. Yet do not let your heart be troubled; for the Lord makes a short word upon the earth: if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. This is the salvation that no heat can scorch and no stairway can exhaust. Your affliction, your brother’s sickness, your father’s wandering, these are not beyond the reach of His lovingkindness.

I burn with grief for you as a father burns for his children. I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. Therefore I beseech you, strive together with me in prayer. We will ask the God of mercies to send relief, a shelter with cool air, an elevator for your brother’s weariness, a place of safety. But more than this, pray that this present hardship become for you a helmet of salvation, guarding your governing principle with good hopes and saving thoughts. For whether we be afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, which is wrought in the patient enduring of sufferings. God allows such things not to destroy but to draw you nearer to Himself.

Do not put off the gift. He who takes away the sin of the world stands ready to deliver you without labor of your own. Is it not extreme folly to delay accepting such a gift? Run to Him now, and lay hold of that sacred head by a pure conscience, even as you endure these trials.

And for your father, though he refuses to change, though he lies outside and men’s shelters will not help him, pray still. The bond of the Spirit is stronger than blood. The Lord can restore the heart of the father to the son; He can turn that prodigal heart fully to God. I have seen the fire of God’s love do what no human effort could. Do not cease to cry out for his soul, even as you trust for your own bodies. Heaven is not slow to hear the groan of the contrite. Hold fast this hope: that one day you shall hear, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you,” where there is no scorching sun, no broken elevator, no son estranged, but only the unending comfort of the Spirit.

The weight you are carrying right now is heavy, the sweltering heat, the uncertainty of moving, a brother whose body needs steady care, and a father who can’t seem to find his way home. In times like these, our first prayer is often for things: an elevator, a cool room, a safe spot. Those are real needs, and God hears them. But underneath it all is something deeper: you are asking for refuge, for protection over your brother, and for your dad to be made new. That’s a cry the Lord knows well.

When I think of a brother’s love, the story of Joseph rushes to mind. He was separated from Benjamin when they were so young. For twenty years he had no sight of him, no word. And when the chance came to bring Benjamin down to Egypt, Joseph’s heart churned with longing, he had to go into a private room and weep. He wanted to throw his arms around that younger brother, the one who belonged to the same mother, the one he’d last seen as a toddler. That same ache is alive in you as you worry about your brother’s weakness in the heat and the stairs. You want him safe, you want him well, and you are willing to speak up and seek help. That is a holy thing.

For the practical needs, an elevator, a place with air moving, a shelter in a safe neighborhood, remember that while people make plans and buildings stand, true safety comes from the Lord. The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the Lord alone gives deliverance. We can ask, and we should, for those physical helps. But even if the path leads through harder ground for a while, the Father who never sleeps is holding you both. He knows about stairs that feel like mountains. He knows about the sun beating down when there’s no relief. And He can open doors no one else can open.

That brings me to your dad. It hurts when a father refuses to change, when he winds up in fights and the shelters for men can’t or won’t open their doors. The old Jacob story had a father deceived, sons who covered up a brother’s sale, years of grief. Yet God was quietly weaving something beyond their sight. The father who wept over Joseph eventually had his arms filled with joy again. I don’t know how long your dad will wander, but the same God who brought Joseph from a pit to the palace can take a man out of the street and set his heart on fire for Him. Keep praying for your father. Don’t let bitterness crowd out that prayer even when the reports are bad. Jesus told us to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use us, how much more a father, however difficult his choices. Ask that the Father who runs to meet the prodigal would do that miracle in your dad’s life. And keep your own heart open, so that if the day comes when he turns, you will be ready to embrace him as a brother in the Lord, not just a man who failed you.

One more thought: Jesus once said, “I and my Father are one.” And He said that if we’ve seen Him, we’ve seen the Father. That means there is a perfect Father who never stumbles, never wanders, never runs out. When earthly dads are absent or tangled in sin, you still have a Father who sees you in that hot shelter, who counts the stairs you climb, and who sent His own Son to be your brother and your substitute. Jesus knows what it is to be betrayed, to suffer, to be without a place to lay His head. He carried a weight far heavier than the heat so that you could be brought into God’s family for good.

So we pray, and many in this church are praying with you, for a shelter with working air, an elevator for your brother’s sake, a secure area, and the swift move you need. But we also pray for your dad: that his heart would soften fully toward God, that the fights would end, and that he would find his refuge in the Lord alone. Hold on to this: what seems now like a season of chaos can become the very place where God works something eternal, turning hearts and forging brothers who could not be taken from each other even by death. May the Lord keep you, and may your brother Benjamin be safe in His shadow.
