We need ac or fan please pray for us and my ### was being slick so now he's in a shelter with us so far no changes please keep us in prayers

We hear your urgent need and the difficult circumstances you’re facing. First, we want to lift up your immediate physical comfort to the Lord, trusting Him to provide relief from the heat in His perfect timing. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:25-26, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the air, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" God sees your need and cares deeply for you and your family.

We also sense the tension in your home, and we want to gently address the situation with truth and love. Scripture calls us to live in peace with one another and to speak with honesty and integrity. Ephesians 4:29 says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." If there has been dishonesty or manipulation in your home, we encourage you to seek repentance and reconciliation through Christ. God can restore what has been broken if we humble ourselves before Him.

We must also emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the foundation for true peace and provision.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You would provide relief from the heat, whether through an air conditioner, a fan, or another means, according to Your will. We trust in Your provision, knowing that You are our Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides.

Father, we also pray for restoration in this home. If there has been dishonesty, manipulation, or strife, we ask that You would bring repentance, forgiveness, and healing. Help them to speak the truth in love and to live in a way that honors You. Soften hearts and draw each one closer to You.

Lord, we pray for salvation if any in this home do not yet know You. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus and give them the faith to trust in Him alone for salvation. May they experience the peace and hope that only comes from a relationship with You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're so sorry you're facing this heat without relief. Being in a shelter during sweltering weather can feel impossibly heavy, especially when it seems like nothing is changing. That stuck feeling wears on the spirit, and we're holding you both up in prayer right now.

It may help to ask the shelter staff directly if they have a spare fan or know of any resources for cooling assistance. Sometimes they can access things not immediately visible to residents. While you wait and advocate, know that we are praying for even small mercies tonight, cooler air, restful sleep, a gentle breeze.

When a situation drags on without visible change, it's easy to lose heart, but your reaching out tells us you haven't given up. That takes real strength.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You now. You know their discomfort, their weariness, and the frustration of waiting. Please provide relief from the heat in whatever way You see fit, through a fan, through cooler temperatures, through the kindness of someone nearby. Give them rest for their bodies and peace for their minds tonight. Sustain them with hope, and open a path forward that they cannot yet see. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is not a light thing to lack a cooling current in such oppressive heat, and I have prayed that the Lord would send you the simplest mercy of a fan, or a change in the air, to ease your bodies. Yet the body’s comfort, though we may lawfully seek it, is not the deepest need; the heart’s relief is what you must chiefly crave. You speak of your loved one being “slick,” and your words carry a weight of disappointment, a heart divided, a heart dealing slyly, a heart that has not yet been made one with the truth. But do not despair, for the same Lord who can command a wind to blow upon your faces can also take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, a heart that is tender, sensitive, and alive to righteousness.

The shelter where you now dwell is, perhaps, a place of stripping, a furnace where the dross of a divided heart is being burned away. The Lord often breaks the heart to bind it up. Cry to Him, then, “Unite my heart to fear Thy name!” Seek not merely a change in outward circumstance, but that inward renewal which the Holy Spirit alone can work. A fan may quiet a fevered brow, but only the love of God shed abroad in the heart by the Holy Ghost can bring a peace that passes understanding, a calm that heat cannot touch.

I shall continue to bear you all up before the throne, praying that He who is meek and lowly in heart will draw near to you, and that your whole household will know that heart-knowledge of God which is life eternal. Rest in this: the heart of Jesus is still full of compassion for the suffering, and He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think.

You ask for a fan or cooling air, and you tell me of the one who acted with cunning and now shares the shelter with you. The body’s discomfort is real, and God is not indifferent to it, but let your soul pant first for the breeze of the Spirit that extinguishes the fever of sin. Before you seek a change in the atmosphere, examine your heart: is there any smoldering resentment against that companion? If you bring a prayer while nursing a grudge, you offer an unholy sacrifice.

Go and be reconciled, then stretch out clean hands to heaven. You say no change has come, yet delay often serves to press us closer to the only unfailing comfort. Do not murmur in the stifling room; make your heart an altar of thanksgiving, for the breath of praise itself refreshes. The prayers of the righteous are a strong shield, but they profit you little if you are drowsy and indifferent.

Another’s intercession cannot rouse a soul that chooses slumber. Rise up! Repent of any deceit in your own dealings, perhaps that very “slickness” you see in another has a root in your own heart that needs plucking. Then, with a watchful spirit, ask the Church to groan with you.

The God who neither slumbers nor sleeps sees your distress. A fan may yet come, but even now He sends the Comforter, who makes saints sing in furnaces. Bear this heat as the fire that refines gold, and seek first His righteousness. All else He knows you need.

The heat you’re facing right now is no small thing, and it is right to cry out for the relief of something as simple as a fan or cool air. Our Lord taught that the kingdom of heaven starts small, like a mustard seed, yet it grows into a tree where the birds of the air come to lodge in its branches. That shelter is real, not just a future hope, but the shade of God’s care stretching over you even when the sun beats down and the nights are stifling. I am praying that He opens a way for that practical help to reach you soon.

I also hear the weight in your words about the one who was being slick and is now in the shelter with you. It’s hard when someone’s choices, maybe even pride or a shortcut, land them right beside you, especially when no changes seem to be happening. But think of Boaz, who stepped up when a closer kinsman wouldn’t. He didn’t do it because the situation was neat or comfortable; he did it to keep a family name alive, to fulfill an obligation that others wanted to dodge. You’re in that kind of season now. It may feel like you’re bearing a burden you didn’t ask for, but you are standing in the gap, and that matters to God.

Remember Jacob, who heard the Lord say, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you.” He was going back into a tangled, messy family history, facing a brother he’d wronged years before. Yet the promise held. Right now, you are in the same spot, back with family, in a tight place, depending on God to deal well with you. Don’t grow weary watching for changes. The same God who kept Jacob through the night at the Jabbok is the God who sees your shelter, your strained relationships, and your need for a cool breath of wind.

Stay watchful, though, that the relief you look for doesn’t tempt you to settle short of full obedience, like Jacob buying land in Shechem when he was told to go further. That half-step brought a world of trouble. Keep your heart set on what is right, even if it’s uncomfortable, and trust the Lord to bring the real change you need, whether in hearts or in the air you breathe. You are in our prayers, and we are asking the Father to cover you with His wings until this season passes.
