Prayer Request

Blessed and Thankful

Humble Prayer Partner
A prayer for Jesus to remove a curse that’s been after me since I was a child keeping me from living my life it would be nice to get out and have fun, to have money.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of a curse that has weighed upon you since childhood. The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" By the blood of Jesus, every curse spoken, inherited, or placed upon your life has been broken. We stand in agreement with the truth that in Christ, you are free, free from oppression, free from lack, and free to walk in the abundant life He has promised.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). It is not God’s will for you to live in bondage, isolation, or financial struggle. We rebuke every assignment of darkness against your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of poverty, fear, and despair that has clung to you is commanded to flee now. The Lord is your provider, your shield, and your deliverer. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

We also recognize that fun and joy are not frivolous, they are gifts from God. Ecclesiastes 3:13 tells us, "Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God." The enemy wants to rob you of the simple pleasures of life, but we declare that laughter, fellowship, and rest are yours in Christ. However, we must also gently remind you that true fulfillment comes not from worldly pursuits alone, but from a heart surrendered to Jesus. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that by His blood, every curse over [this person’s] life is broken. We declare that they are redeemed, restored, and set free. Lord, we ask You to remove every residue of darkness that has clung to them since childhood. Let Your light shine into every area of their life, finances, relationships, health, and joy. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors of opportunity, surround them with godly community, and fill their heart with peace and laughter.

Father, we also ask that You draw them closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, soften their heart to receive Him as Lord. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and the freedom that comes only through Christ. We command every spirit of poverty, fear, and oppression to leave now in Jesus’ name. We declare that [this person] is blessed, favored, and anointed for a life of purpose and abundance. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on the promises of God and walk in the authority you have as a child of God. Speak life over your circumstances, resist the enemy’s lies, and surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The curse is broken, now walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you!

We hear how heavy this has been for you, a sense of being cursed since childhood, stealing the freedom to simply enjoy life and meet basic needs. That kind of weight can feel relentless, and we're sorry you've carried it so long. You're not alone in this.

Sometimes what feels like a curse can grow from painful early experiences, lies we absorbed, or real spiritual oppression. But no matter where it came from, Jesus' authority is greater. He doesn't just manage darkness; He breaks its hold completely. We want you to know that His heart for you is life, joy, and provision, not a shadow of perpetual defeat.

One practical step that often helps is meeting with a wise, prayerful pastor or mature believer who can walk alongside you. Together you can ask the Lord to expose any root of this curse, whether it's an old wound, a lie you've believed, or something spiritual that needs to be renounced in Christ's name. You don't have to face it alone.

As you pray, try naming before God the specific ways this curse feels real, the locked doors, the missed fun, the financial strain, and then, in faith, releasing them to Jesus. He is not far off; He is right there with you.

Let's pray now.

Jesus, we come to You on behalf of our friend. You see the shadow that has followed them since childhood. In Your name, we break any curse, any evil spirit, any lie that has held them captive. Set them free to walk in the fullness of life You died and rose to give. Open doors for honest fun, meaningful joy, and steady provision. Heal the wounds beneath this struggle and fill them with Your peace. We trust You to finish what You've started. Amen.

The cry that has come from your heart is not hidden from the Lord. You speak of a curse that has kept you from living your life, having fun, and having money. These are the things you feel you lack, but the peril is deeper than you know. There is a pit that opens for the soul, and the greatest curse is not the poverty or the confinement, but the state of being unreconciled to God. All those who are of the works of the Law are under the curse, and every man who hopes by his own efforts to commend himself to God finds that the Law brings only a curse. Yet here is the wonder: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. The curse you feel chasing you is swallowed up in the curse He bore upon the tree. The arrow of the Evil One whispers that God has forsaken you, that you are cut off and must remain so. But the promise stands sure: you may be as though you had never been cast aside, for the Lord your God will hear you when you pray.

Perhaps you have thought all these years that the removal of the curse meant the coming of money and ease, the liberty to go out and have fun. But the Lord often lets the temporal famine abide so that the soul may learn to hunger for the living bread. The wells of salvation are yours to drink from even now, even while the outward wilderness remains. They that put their trust in the Lord are to rejoice and shout for joy because He defends them, not because their pockets are full or their days are filled with merriment. That joy is a deep and abiding stream, flowing even when the archers are shooting in the places of drawing water. You have been seeking the silver and gold of Egypt, but He would bring you forth with a better treasure, the unsearchable riches of Christ. There is a way of deliverance that leaves no feeble soul among His tribes. If you will cry to Him now, confessing that your deepest need is not for a changed circumstance but a changed heart, He will bring you out. The curse will be lifted because the Curse-bearer took it. Quit looking at the supposed curse as a thing to be escaped by a happier lot; look to the Savior who endured the curse for sinners, and you shall live, and declare the works of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of a curse that has pursued you since childhood, keeping you from life and joy and provision. But consider what the Scripture declares: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. What curse then remains that He has not borne? If He has taken the curse upon Himself, why do you still speak as one under it? The bondage you feel is not from some ancient spell or lingering malediction. It is the heavier bondage of sin and unbelief, from which God alone can deliver. For to forgive sins belongs to none other, and this very thing the Lord pressed when He said, If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

You long to get out and have fun, to have money. These are not wicked desires in themselves, but freedom in Christ is not given so that we may use our liberty for the flesh. He has removed the yoke, not that you may prance and kick, but that without the yoke you may walk at a well-measured pace. Many feel shame at worldly bondage and would rather be called servants to sin ten thousand times than once to poverty or obscurity. But Job, had he not exercised himself well before his trials, would not have shone so brightly when everything was stripped away. He practiced freedom from despondency, and so when ruin came, loss of children, reproaches of friends, he did not utter a rash word.

Come to Him who said, Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He does not promise riches or amusements as the world gives them. He promises Himself. The very chief of the feasts He brings to an end, removing them to a most awful table, where His body is broken for many. If you would know true deliverance, seek first the freedom from sin. The rest will be added as He sees fit. Do not think that because you lack money or pleasure, God has forsaken you. He Himself suffered His own to be afflicted four hundred years, yet His promise did not fail. Lapse of time does not falsify His word.

The heaviness you describe, the sense that something has been dogging you since childhood, stealing joy and provision, is not something to dismiss. But we must understand where curses come from and where they end. When sin entered the world, a threefold curse fell: on the man, the woman, and the ground itself. Thorns and thistles sprouted, labor became toil, and sorrow mixed with life. That ancient curse is the root of every shadow that clings to a life. And the Son of God took every shard of it upon himself.

Think of the crown they pressed onto his brow before the cross. It was not made of gold but of twisted thorns. Thorns were the sign of the curse on the earth, the very thing the ground was forced to produce after Adam’s disobedience. So that crown was perfectly fitting. Jesus wore the emblem of the curse right on his head because he was bearing God’s curse against your sin. He was not playacting. He was becoming a curse for you, just as it is written: cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. He hung there, absorbing what you and I deserved, so that no accusing voice, no lingering darkness, no ancestral dread could keep its grip.

You mention a curse that keeps you from living your life. Let me be clear: whatever power may have been sent your way, there is no curse that can overrule the blessing of God upon a life that belongs to Jesus Christ. Remember how a king once hired a man to curse God’s people. He was offered riches and honor to speak destruction over them, but God refused to let a curse land. God said, in effect, “I won’t curse them. They are blessed.” Every scheme to call down harm shattered against the sovereign blessing of the Lord. If you are in Christ, that same protection envelops you.

But I want to address the deeper curse we all face apart from Christ. The law of God pronounces a curse on everyone who does not continue in all things written in it. One failure, one violation, and we stand condemned. That is the curse that matters most, because it separates us from the life and provision of God. No amount of trying to break a spell or chase away misfortune can lift that kind of curse. It required a substitute. And Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us. He took the full force of divine judgment so that the blessing of Abraham might come to us through faith.

The freedom you long for, to get out, to experience joy, to have what you need, is actually found in what he has already done. True freedom is not simply removal of obstacles. The world chases freedom to do whatever it wants and ends up bound by what it chases. Real freedom is being released from the power of anything that would master your soul. It means you are no longer driven by fear, by lack, by the past, or by what others may have spoken over you. You can walk in a liberty that doesn’t have to test every chain or dabble in every dark corner to see if you are still enslaved. You are free because the Son has set you free.

So I urge you not to think of your situation as needing a special ritual to break a curse. That misunderstands the gospel. You are not under the sway of any curse if Christ has become yours. The thorns on his head, the nails in his hands, the death he died, those were your curse being drained of its power. Your part is to come to him in honest, desperate faith. Turn from any attempt to manage life on your own and rest entirely in what he has accomplished. As you do, you will begin to taste the blessing: not necessarily instant riches or a constant thrill, but a settled peace, a growing freedom, and a Father who knows what you need before you ask.

He who did not spare his own Son will freely give you all things in him. Joy and provision are not far off; they are found in the presence of the One who wore your thorns.
