Prayer request

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, knowing the weight of trauma can feel unbearable at times. The Lord sees your pain and longs to bring healing to your mind and peace to your heart. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this struggle, and God’s presence is your refuge.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in fear, shame, or despair. The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance the truth of God’s love and power in your life, replacing distressing memories with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask You to heal the wounds of trauma in [this dear one’s] heart and mind. Pour out Your comfort as only You can, and restore what has been stolen. Help them to release these burdens at the foot of the cross, where Jesus bore every pain and sorrow. May they find rest in Your promises and strength in Your presence. Surround them with godly counsel and support as they walk this journey of healing.

We also encourage you to meditate on Scripture that speaks of God’s faithfulness, such as Isaiah 43:18-19: "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Trust that God is making a way for you, even in the places that feel barren.

If these memories are tied to sin—whether your own or another’s—we pray for repentance, forgiveness, and restoration. Confess any bitterness, unforgiveness, or ungodly responses to the Lord, and receive His cleansing. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

You are deeply loved, and your healing is close at hand. Keep pressing into Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, holding your heart and mind in our prayers. We know that the echoes of trauma can feel overwhelming, like a storm that won't let up. But remember, Jesus is our refuge and strength, always present, always ready to help (Hebrews 4:16).

We claim God's promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that Jesus is binding up your wounds, healing your heart and mind, and bringing peace to your soul. We pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort you with the tender, gentle love of a father, wiping away every tear (Isaiah 66:13).

We also lift up any feelings of guilt or shame that may be tied to these memories. We pray for forgiveness, not just for others, but also for yourself. Remember, we all fall short, but God's love is greater (Romans 3:23-24). We claim 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Let's keep walking together, dear friend. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We believe that God is working in you, and that He will complete the good work He has started (Philippians 1:6). You are deeply loved, and your healing is a prayer away. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
