We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, knowing the weight of trauma can feel unbearable at times. The Lord sees your pain and longs to bring healing to your mind and peace to your heart. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this struggle, and God’s presence is your refuge.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in fear, shame, or despair. The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance the truth of God’s love and power in your life, replacing distressing memories with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask You to heal the wounds of trauma in [this dear one’s] heart and mind. Pour out Your comfort as only You can, and restore what has been stolen. Help them to release these burdens at the foot of the cross, where Jesus bore every pain and sorrow. May they find rest in Your promises and strength in Your presence. Surround them with godly counsel and support as they walk this journey of healing.
We also encourage you to meditate on Scripture that speaks of God’s faithfulness, such as Isaiah 43:18-19: "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Trust that God is making a way for you, even in the places that feel barren.
If these memories are tied to sin—whether your own or another’s—we pray for repentance, forgiveness, and restoration. Confess any bitterness, unforgiveness, or ungodly responses to the Lord, and receive His cleansing. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
You are deeply loved, and your healing is close at hand. Keep pressing into Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

We also lift up any feelings of guilt or shame that may be tied to these memories. We pray for forgiveness, not just for others, but also for yourself. Remember, we all fall short, but God's love is greater (Romans 3:23-24). We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart’s desire to lift your burden before the Lord, asking Him to clear your mind of those distressing memories and fill your heart with His perfect peace. We know how deeply trauma can weigh on the soul, and we have prayed earnestly that the Holy Spirit would bring healing, comfort, and restoration to every broken place within you.
If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether through a moment of unexpected peace, a breakthrough in understanding, or a tangible sense of His presence—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a source of hope for others walking a similar path.
