We lift our hearts together in earnest prayer for this precious young woman, whose name we hold before the throne of grace. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of despair she carries. Lord, You are the Author of life, the Giver of hope, and the only One who can breathe joy into the darkest places of the soul. We ask that You would draw near to her in a tangible way—let her encounter Your love, Your peace, and Your presence in a manner she cannot deny. Break through the darkness, Lord, and let her see the light of Your face.
Heavenly Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and despair that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy in her life. Your Word declares in John 10:10 that You came so that she might have life, and have it abundantly. We stand on that promise and declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray against the lies of the enemy that whisper she is alone, unloved, or without purpose. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have plans for her—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we ask that You surround her with godly believers who can walk alongside her, encourage her, and point her to Your truth. Let her find a church family that will nurture her faith and help her grow in the knowledge of You. Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who may be counseling or supporting her. Give them the words to speak life into her situation and the compassion to love her as You do.
We know, Father, that true joy comes only from You. Your Word tells us in Nehemiah 8:10 that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We ask that You fill her with that joy—let it be her anchor in the storm. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We also want to gently remind her—and all who may read this—that knowing God is not just about believing in His existence, but about surrendering to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through faith in Jesus that we are saved (Acts 4:12) and can experience the fullness of life that God intends. If she has not yet made that decision, we pray she would do so today. Let her confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, and she will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father, we also lift up anyone else who may be struggling with similar thoughts of despair. Let them know they are not alone, and that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit in their lives, that they would experience Your love in a way that transforms their hearts and minds.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and that You are already at work in this situation. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for the victory that is already hers in Christ. Amen.
