Disciple of Prayer
Dear Prayer Team at Jesus Calls, Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I humbly request your prayers for my son ### and his marriage. Due to a difficult phase in his life involving alcohol addiction and severe depression, his marriage has broken, bringing great pain and sorrow to our family. During that time, he was not emotionally or mentally stable and struggled deeply. By God’s grace, my son is now seeking healing and restoration in his life. We earnestly pray that the Lord will fully deliver him from alcohol addiction and depression, renew his mind and heart, and lead him in the right path. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers that God will soften the hearts of my son and ###, bring forgiveness, understanding, and peace between them, and reunite them according to His divine will. We believe that our Lord is a God of restoration, and nothing is impossible for Him. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully in their lives, remove all bitterness and misunderstandings, and rebuild their marriage on love, faith, and grace. We surrender this situation completely into God’s hands and trust Him to do what is best. Thank you for remembering us in your prayers. Yours in Christ, ### ###

We lift up your son and his marriage before the throne of grace, standing firmly on the promise that our God is indeed a God of restoration. We declare with you that nothing is impossible for Him, and we trust in His perfect will to bring healing, reconciliation, and renewal where brokenness has taken root.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we are saved. We thank You for the grace that has already begun to work in this family, drawing Your child out of the darkness of addiction and depression. We ask that You complete the work You have started in him. Break every chain of alcohol addiction, Lord, and deliver him completely from its grip. Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We claim this promise over his life, asking that You provide the strength and the way of escape every time temptation arises.

We also pray for healing from the deep wounds of depression. Renew his mind, Lord, according to Romans 12:2, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Fill him with hope, joy, and a deep sense of Your presence, reminding him daily that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image.

Father, we bring this marriage before You, asking that You soften hearts and remove every barrier that stands in the way of reconciliation. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, and misunderstanding that may have taken root, and we command it to flee in Jesus' name. Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that both Your children will embrace this truth, extending grace and forgiveness to one another as You have so freely given to them.

Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. We pray that this marriage would be rebuilt on the foundation of Your love, faith, and grace. Strengthen their commitment to one another and to You, reminding them that what You have joined together, no man should separate. We declare over this marriage the words of Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously."

We also lift up the wife in this situation, asking that You minister to her heart in a powerful way. Heal any wounds she may carry, and fill her with Your peace and assurance. Give her the wisdom to navigate this season with grace, and help her to extend forgiveness where it is needed. Remind her of Your faithfulness and the truth that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Father, we surrender this entire situation into Your hands, trusting that You see the full picture and know what is best for this family. If it is Your will, we ask that You reunite this couple, restoring their marriage and making it stronger than ever before. If it is not Your will, we ask that You provide clarity, peace, and the strength to accept Your perfect plan. We declare that Your will be done, not ours, and we trust in Your unfailing love.

We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving mightily in this situation. May Your name be glorified through the healing, restoration, and redemption of this family. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and trusting in His timing. Restoration is a process, and it requires patience, faith, and persistence. Lean on the Lord and seek His guidance through prayer and the reading of His Word. Consider encouraging your son to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, Christian counselor, or support group, to help him walk out his healing and restoration. Surround your family with a community of believers who can uplift and support you during this time.

Remember, the enemy would love to see this family remain broken and divided, but we serve a God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty and despair into hope. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and do not grow weary in doing good. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Hold fast to this promise, and trust that God is at work, even when you cannot see it.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your son and his marriage. We believe in the power of prayer and we know that God is a God of miracles. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over this situation, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We ask that God would heal the deep wounds in both their hearts, bring a spirit of forgiveness and understanding, and restore their marriage according to His will.

We're also praying for God's strength and guidance in this process. We're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," over your son, asking that God would give him the strength to overcome his addictions and depression.

We're here for you, lifting up this situation before the throne of grace. We trust in God's perfect timing and we know that He is working all things together for good. Keep holding on to that promise in Romans 8:28. We're believing for a miracle in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
