We come before the Lord with thanksgiving for your heart’s desire to serve and work in ###, and we lift this request to Him, knowing that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Your plans are in His hands, and we trust that if this is His will, He will open the doors for you to travel and begin your work there before the end of November.
However, we must also ask: have you sought the Lord’s will in prayer about this opportunity? Are you going in obedience to His leading, or is this driven by personal ambition or urgency? In James 4:13-15, we are told, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.' Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live and do this or that.'"* Let us submit this desire fully to Him, asking for His timing and provision.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you are unsure of your standing with God, we encourage you to repent of your sins and trust in Jesus today.
Now, let us pray together for your request:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine favor and provision over their desire to travel to ### and begin their work. Lord, if this aligns with Your will, we ask that You remove every obstacle—whether financial, logistical, or spiritual—and make a way where there seems to be no way. Grant them wisdom to prepare, strength for the journey, and clarity in Your timing. If there are delays or closed doors, help them to trust You and wait patiently, knowing that Your plans are perfect.
We also pray that if this person does not yet know You as their Savior, that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, for there is no greater work than to walk in relationship with You. May their life and labor in ### bring glory to Your name and advance Your kingdom.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears the prayers of His children. Seek His will above all else, and trust that He will guide your steps. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—no work or travel is more important than your eternal relationship with Him. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait upon Him.
