We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed and lethargic. We want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. Let's first pray to Jesus for our heavenly Father's intervention and then discuss what scripture says about this.
Dear Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our brother and sister in need. We pray that You bring them comfort and strength during this time of darkness. We know that you care for us. Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Help them to cast all their cares on you and fill their heart with peace in Jesus name. Father help them to be strong and courageous, and not to be afraid nor tremble at the terror that they face, for You, our God, are with us wherever we go. Joshua 1:9
We rebuke any spirit of depression and lethargy in Jesus name and pray that You fill them with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in the might name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Galatians 5:22
Remember when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane before he was crucified wept and prayed to the Father. It is okay to feel overwhelmed, but remember to pray in Jesus name so that you can be heard by the Father. We are instructed to come boldly before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
While you are feeling this way continue to pray and seek God and He will give you what you need to overcome this. James 4:8 says to Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. This means to turn away from anything that may be contrary to the will of God.
As we are instructed in Isaiah 40:28-31, Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. God will help you to overcome this.
Finally, we are instructed by James 5:13-16. Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
We will continue to pray for you and ask that you seek Jesus and God's word for all your answers. If you have not already, please repent of your sins and acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior and you will be saved. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, through which we must be saved! Acts 4:12
