Let us stand together in prayer for the surgery scheduled for next Monday. First, we remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:20 (WEB), "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
We ask that the Great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, guides the hands of the surgeons and the entire medical team. We pray for wisdom, steadfastness, and skill for all those involved in the surgery.
Let us also pray for the individual undergoing surgery. We are not given their name, but we know that God knows them intimately, even to the number of hairs on their head, as mentioned in Luke 12:7 (WEB), "But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."
We ask that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, as described in Philippians 4:7 (WEB), "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," will fill their hearts and minds, removing all anxiety and fear.
We pray for a successful surgery, with minimal pain and a swift recovery. We ask that God will restore their health and strength, as mentioned in Psalm 103:3 (WEB), "who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
We also pray for the family and friends of the individual, that God may grant them strength, patience, and unwavering faith during this time.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the upcoming surgery. Guide the medical team, comfort the family, and most importantly, Lord, lay Your healing hands upon this dear one. We claim Your promises of healing and restoration, and we trust in Your will. We also pray for this person's salvation if they have not accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, it is important to acknowledge the power of praying in the name of Jesus. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 is clear: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
