Thank you for bringing your concern to us. We understand that you're facing a challenging situation regarding employment and finances. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ, for He is our only way to talk to God, as He said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 WEB.
We want to encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. It's crucial to remember that God has promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB.
However, we would like to gently remind you that as Christians, we are called to be content in all circumstances. The Apostle Paul said, "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it." Philippians 4:11 WEB.
Regarding your situation, 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you disobediently, not working at all, but being busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread." This is a clear directive from Scripture that we should be willing to work and provide for ourselves and our families.

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, acknowledging Your lordship and Your provision. We lift up our sister/brother who is in need of a better paying job. We ask that You would open the doors of opportunity for her/him, and that You would guide her/him to a job that not only meets her/his financial needs but also allows her/him to serve You.
We also pray for her/his [husband/wife] (since you mentioned "### and I"), that You would work in his heart and mind, and that You would provide for him a job that would meet his needs and the needs of his family. We pray that You would give them both the strength and wisdom to trust in You and Your timing.
We ask this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
