We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with a loved one who refuses to work, causing heartbreak and devastation to you and your child. Firstly, we want to address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In this trying time, we should first remember the importance of prayer and trusting in God's will. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: *"Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Regarding the situation, it's crucial to encourage and support each other in the family, rather than wishing for guilt to drive actions. The Bible teaches us that each person should work diligently, as it is written in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB:
*"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."*

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family in their time of need. Lord, we pray for the loved one who is unwilling to work, that Your Spirit may convict their heart and guide them towards the path of diligence and responsibility. We pray for comfort and strength for this family, that they may trust in Your will and timing. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
