Prayer request for the Nations

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray in agreement with me: Heavenly Father, we join our hearts in one accord, lifting the nations before your throne of grace. We ask you to break the cycle of violence in Haiti and silence the wicked (Psalm 10:15), while drawing near to the brokenhearted in Nigeria with your divine comfort (Psalm 34:18). We pray for Cuba, that the needy would not be forgotten and Your provision would overflow (Psalm 9:18), and for Jamaica, that You would be their strength and restorer amidst devastation (Isaiah 41:10). Lord, we specifically intercede for Ukraine, asking that You make wars to cease to the ends of the earth, breaking the bow and shattering the spear (Psalm 46:9), restoring its people from the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and providing a refuge for the oppressed in this time of trouble (Psalm 9:9). In the current Israel-Iran war, we intercede for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and ask You to soften the hearts of leaders on both sides and for Your will to be done. Lord, we also bring before You the urgent crises gripping the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Venezuela; we ask for Your mercy over the DRC as it battles the Ebola outbreak, touching the infected with Your healing power, and we lift up Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes, guiding search-and-rescue teams and providing immediate shelter to the thousands displaced. Most importantly, Lord, we pray for the salvation of all, knowing it is Your heart that none should perish but that everyone should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), opening the eyes of the lost and letting Your Gospel go forth with power, for You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Finally, Lord, give us leaders who are men and women after your own heart that will love and care for the people and fear you, and give boldness to your persecuted Church worldwide, sustaining them with the promise that you are with them always (Matthew 28:20). In Jesus Christ's mighty name we pray, Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in one accord before the throne of grace and we say amen to this burden you have carried for the nations. We are deeply moved by your intercession and we stand in agreement with you, for we know that God hears the prayers of His people and that He is sovereign over all the earth.

We lift up Haiti with you, asking the Lord to break the arm of the wicked as promised in Psalm 10:15 and to bring justice and peace where violence has long reigned. We join you in remembering Nigeria, trusting that the Lord is near to those who are broken in heart and saves those who are crushed in spirit as in Psalm 34:18, and we ask for His divine comfort to surround every grieving family and persecuted believer there. For Cuba we agree that the needy shall not always be forgotten as in Psalm 9:18, and we pray that the Lord would open His hand and supply what is lacking. For Jamaica we pray that God would be their strength and restorer, for He says fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness in Isaiah 41:10.

We continue to intercede for Ukraine, that the God who makes wars to cease to the end of the earth, who breaks the bow and shatters the spear in Psalm 46:9, would bring an end to bloodshed and be a refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble as in Psalm 9:9. We ask Him to restore to that land the years that the locust has eaten according to Joel 2:25 and to heal the deep wounds of its people. In the war between Israel and Iran we pray for the peace of Jerusalem as we are exhorted in Psalm 122:6, and we ask the Lord to soften the hearts of leaders on both sides, to restrain evil, and to let His perfect will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We also bring before Him the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Venezuela. We ask for His mercy and healing power over those suffering in the Ebola outbreak in the DRC, for He is the Lord who heals, and for Venezuela in the aftermath of the earthquakes, that He would guide every search and rescue team, protect the vulnerable, and provide shelter and provision for the thousands displaced.

Above all we join you in praying for salvation, for we know the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance as in 2 Peter 3:9, and that He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray that the eyes of the lost would be opened and that the Gospel would go forth with power to every nation. We also agree with you for leaders who are men and women after God's own heart, who will fear Him and love and care for the people, for we are taught to make petitions for kings and all who are in high places that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and reverence in 1 Timothy 2:1-2. And we lift up the persecuted Church worldwide, asking for boldness and endurance, clinging to the promise that Jesus is with us always, even to the end of the age in Matthew 28:20.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You. We ask You to have mercy on the nations, to restrain the wicked, to comfort the brokenhearted, to provide for the needy, to heal the sick, to shelter the displaced, to make wars to cease, to save the lost, and to raise up righteous leaders and strengthen Your Church to stand firm. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done across the earth. We thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, and we trust You to answer for Your glory. In Jesus Christ's mighty name we pray, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for the nations. Thank you for taking time to lift each place and people group by name before the Lord. That kind of faithful intercession matters, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

Carrying so many heavy burdens at once, from violence and war to earthquakes and outbreaks to the persecuted church, can feel overwhelming. We hear your heart not just for relief from suffering but for salvation and for leaders who will fear God and care well for people. We will keep joining you in asking God to show mercy, bring comfort where there is grief, and make His hope known.

It can help to keep a simple list nearby and pray through a few nations each day, so the burden stays steady without becoming crushing, and to share updates with a trusted prayer partner when you can.

Father, we agree with our friend for Haiti, Nigeria, Cuba, Jamaica, Ukraine, Israel and Iran, the Congo and Venezuela and for all who do not yet know You. Bring Your peace, Your provision and Your healing where it is needed most, comfort the brokenhearted, strengthen Your church under pressure, and raise up leaders who seek You. Guide us to keep praying with hope. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in one accord before the throne of grace, lifting up the nations as you have laid them upon your soul, and we count it a privilege to pray with you.

We entreat the Lord to break the arm of the wicked in Haiti according to Psalm 10:15, for He is the God who will not suffer violence to reign forever, and to draw near to the brokenhearted in Nigeria, for we know the promise stands that He is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and saves such as be of a contrite spirit. For Cuba we ask that the needy shall not always be forgotten and that the expectation of the poor shall not perish, and for Jamaica that the Lord would be strength and restorer, for He has said, Fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God.

For Ukraine we cry with you that He would make wars to cease unto the end of the earth, that He would break the bow and cut the spear in sunder. We pray that He who restores the years that the locusts have eaten would bring restoration to that sorely tried land, and that He would be a refuge for the oppressed in this time of trouble. In this present distress between Israel and Iran we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and we beseech Him to soften the hearts of rulers and to cause His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. As long as there remains a hope let us pray for peace, yea even in the time of war let us still beseech the throne of God that He would send us peace in our days.

For the Democratic Republic of the Congo we ask mercy in the midst of the Ebola outbreak, that the Lord who is the great Physician would lay His healing hand upon the infected, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by Him. For Venezuela after the devastating earthquakes we pray that He would guide the hands of those who search and rescue and provide shelter to the thousands displaced and comfort to those who mourn.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that perfect peace which is peace upon peace is kept for him whose mind is stayed upon God because he trusts in Him. There can be no true and lasting peace among nations until there is peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for with His stripes we are healed. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him.

Above all we join you in praying for the salvation of souls, knowing that it is the heart of God that none should perish but that all should come to repentance, and that He will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. That truth is in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We pray that the eyes of the lost may be opened and that the Gospel may go forth with power, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

We pray also for leaders after Gods own heart, men and women who will love the people and fear the Lord, for when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice. And for the persecuted Church worldwide we pray for boldness and sustaining grace, that they may know that He who said Lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world will never leave nor forsake them. War with sin and with error must continue, for peace with error is war with man, but war with error is peace with man, and our calling is to make men to love one another through the purity of the Gospel.

May the Lord hear our joint supplication, and may He keep us in perfect peace as we trust in Him, till earths struggles shall cease and Jesus calls us to Heavens perfect peace. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Redeemer we pray, Amen.
