Beloved of All
Your prayer has been received and we join with you in lifting these burdens before the Lord, for you have asked according to the heart of God.
We pray with you that His house would truly be a house of prayer for all nations as written in Isaiah 56:7 and Mark 11:17, and that the gospel of the kingdom would be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations according to Matthew 24:14. As it has been said, the gospel is the gospel of peace, and this war we have against the evil spirits puts an end to the war between us and God. If we are at war with the devil we are at peace with God, and the victory is already won. So we ask that our feet would be shod with the preparation of this gospel, which is a virtuous and watchful life, ready to make straight the way of the Lord and to walk worthy of the good news we have received.
We join you in praying for leaders in government and in the church according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2, that God would grant them wisdom and strength as they bear the weight of wars, economic hardship, terrorism, and the many evil plots that press upon them. We ask with you for repentance and grace to seek His face according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, and for confession of our sins and the sins of our people as Daniel prayed in Daniel 9:20. We remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities as in Daniel 10:13 and Ephesians 6:11-12, and that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but mighty through God as in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. Like generals who go to the most distressed part of the battle, we ask God to send and sustain His servants where the need is greatest.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem according to Psalm 122:6 and that all Israel might be saved according to Romans 10:1 and Romans 11:25-27, and for the diminishing of horrendous persecution and antisemitism both in openly hostile countries and in places that were free not long ago. We ask the Lord to calm wars and to restrain evil, knowing that not every concord is good and that true peace comes only when what is diseased is cut off and hearts are reconciled to God. We pray for free speech to go forth so the word of the Lord may run freely, and for protection over military personnel, missionaries, pastors, evangelists and all gospel workers who are merely human and need divine guarding.
We ask the Lord of the harvest according to Matthew 9:35-37 to send true laborers into the harvest, especially to war torn areas and to places struck by earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and deep poverty, and to every people group you named, whether in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and the islands, and here in Canada and the United States. The promise remains that the gospel which was preached to every creature under heaven will bear fruit and grow, and we pray for strength to keep watch at all times and to stand before the Son of Man according to Luke 21:36.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus, the Amen and Faithful Witness in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen according to Revelation 3:14 and 2 Corinthians 1:20. May the Lord keep you steadfast in prayer, with faith as your shield and a life made ready for His peace.
