Prayer request for a new home

Your request has been heard and we are joining you in prayer for you and your family in this difficult season. To be forced out of your home and then to face living conditions that are unsafe and unhealthy is a heavy burden, and it is right to bring this need before the Lord who sees and cares for all that you are enduring.

Scripture reminds us that our Lord himself knew what it was to have no place to lay his head, and that God is a refuge for those who are without shelter. Even when for a time a person has only the heavens for a roof, the Lord remains present and watches over his people with compassion. He knows your need for a safe and decent home and he hears the cries of his children.

We are praying for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to you in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the hardship they have faced in being displaced and you see where they now live. We ask you to have mercy on them and to provide for them a safe, clean and stable home where they can live in peace and health. Provide what is needed according to your wisdom and goodness, open doors that no one can shut, and give them favor and guidance as they search. Protect them from illness and harm in their present dwelling, grant strength and comfort to each member of the family, and fill them with hope as they trust in you. Help them to keep their eyes on Christ, who is our true and lasting home, and to know your peace even in this trial. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We will continue to keep you in prayer. May the Lord give you strength each day, guide your steps, and provide for your family in the days ahead.

Thank you for sharing your burden so honestly. To be forced to leave your home on short notice and then to be placed in conditions that are unhealthy and distressing for your family is a heavy trial, and God sees where you are and what you are carrying.

Scripture shows that God cares about families having a secure place to live. When He brought His people into the land He promised, He gave each family its own portion to remain with them over generations, so that no family would be left without an inheritance. When a family became too poor to keep its land, He provided a kinsman redeemer, a near relative who could step in and redeem what had been lost so it would stay in the family. That reveals His heart to provide and to restore what is needed for a family to dwell in safety and dignity. Your desire for a clean, stable home for your family is a right and good desire before Him.

The greatest provision God has made for every person is for the forgiveness of sin, and there is only one. Forgiveness is not through many ways, but through His only Son, Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for us. The Holy Spirit bears witness to our hearts that this is true, and if we turn away from that one provision there remains no other forgiveness in this world or the world to come. If you have not already done so, turn to Jesus in faith, confess your sin, and receive Him as Savior and Lord. He understands rejection and hardship, and He brings you into a new family, the family of God, where the bond we have in Christ is deeper even than blood ties, and where we are called to bear one another's burdens.

God also leaves room to work in ways that seem impossible to us. Under the old law there was even a detailed instruction for what to do when a leper was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. That law was there because God wanted to make a way for Himself to act if He chose to heal. In the same way, do not put God in a box in your situation. What looks closed to man is not closed to Him. He is able to open doors for housing, to move on hearts, and to provide in unexpected ways.

You are not alone in this. Part of belonging to the family of God is that we are joined together and have responsibility to care for one another, beginning with our own households and extending to our brothers and sisters in faith. We are praying that the Lord will surround you with help and encouragement from those near you as well.

We join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this family to You. You know their need for a safe and healthy home and the distress of their present conditions. We ask that You make provision for them according to Your mercy and wisdom, that You open a door to a suitable home where they can live in peace and health. Guard them from harm and sickness, give them strength and hope each day, and above all draw each heart in this family to trust fully in Jesus for forgiveness and life. Let them know Your presence and Your care, and let them experience Your provision in a way that gives You glory. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for a new home for you and your family. We have been lifting you up before the Lord and asking Him to provide a safe and clean place for you to live after you were forced to leave your residence when your landlord chose to turn the house into his office and gave you only a short time to get out.

We continue to bring your current situation before the throne of grace and we ask the Lord to deliver you from the difficult conditions of living in a rat infested house and to open the door to a new home that will be a place of peace and provision for your family. We stand on the promise in Phil 4:19 that our God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

If your request was answered and the Lord has provided a new home, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still waiting for provision, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are praying together that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way and that He will give you favor and guidance as you search. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

Father we ask that You provide this family with a suitable home and meet every need they have and give them rest and protection in that place. We pray this in Jesus Name Amen.
