Prayer request for a new home

We hear the heaviness in your request and we stand with you and your family in this difficult season. To be forced to leave your residence and then to be living in conditions that are unsafe and unhealthy is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that God sees where you are and He cares deeply for you. He is not distant from your struggle.
We take comfort in knowing that our God is a refuge and a provider. We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. And we cling to His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Jesus Himself taught us not to be anxious about what we will eat or drink or where we will live, but to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Even when we feel overwhelmed, when our heart is overwhelmed, we can cry to Him and He will lead us to the rock that is higher than we are Psalm 61:2.
We lift you and your family before the Father now together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear family to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the hurt of being displaced and the hardship of living in a home that is infested and not safe. We ask You to have mercy and to open a door for a new home for them, a place that is clean, safe, peaceful and affordable where they can rest and dwell in security. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Protect their health, guard them from disease and harm, and give them peace in the midst of this trial. We pray also for the landlord and for all involved, that Your will would be done and that bitterness would not take root, but that You would grant wisdom and favor as they search. Lead them step by step and let them see Your hand providing. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, and to also reach out for practical help where you can, through your local church family and trusted community resources, while you wait on the Lord to provide. Continue to ask, seek and knock, for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened Matthew 7:7-8.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and by calling on His name, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him and to pray in His name, for He is faithful to hear us.

We were so moved to hear what you and your family are walking through. Being told you had to leave your home on short notice so the landlord could use it for another purpose would unsettle anyone, and now trying to live in a place that is infested with rats is exhausting and discouraging. We hear how heavy this is, especially when you are trying to care for your family there.
Please know we are standing with you in prayer and that God sees exactly where you are. It makes complete sense to feel weary and on edge when home does not feel safe or peaceful. You did the right thing reaching out instead of carrying this alone.

That could be your city or county housing office, a local church benevolence ministry, or a community organization that helps families find stable housing. They often know about available listings, emergency assistance, and what supports exist for unsafe living conditions. Because a rat infestation can affect health and safety, it can also help to contact your local housing or environmental health office to document what you are experiencing and learn what options they can offer.

Beloved of All
Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we have taken it up with you in prayer. To be forced from your residence at a landlord's will and to be brought into a dwelling that is not fit for habitation is a sore trial, and we feel for you and your household in this distress.
We are reminded that our God entered into covenant with Noah that He would preserve him and his family alive, and that he and his family left their houses to find a home in the ark, and so they were saved. The covenant promise and purpose were fulfilled, and the Lord who provided an ark for Noah and his house is still able to provide a home for His people. He knows what it is to have no fire to warm by on a cold morning, and yet to hear His word say, All things are yours. All things are yours not by your own earning but by His grace, and He will withhold no good thing that is needful for His children.
You are part of that whole family in heaven and earth of which the Scripture speaks, one undivided household though scattered and tried, and the question the Lord puts to each of us is, Do we belong to that family. Those who have been quickened and made to live and introduced into the family of God have one never failing mark, they are led by the Spirit of God. If you are His, you may be sure He sees your present habitation and hears your cry.
We have prayed that the Lord in His mercy would open a door for you to a safe and decent home, that He would guide you to a place where your family may dwell in peace and health, and that He would provide according to His wisdom and in His time. We have asked Him to protect you where you now are, to keep you from harm and sickness, and to give you favor as you seek a new dwelling.
Take this trial as a call to seek Him more earnestly together. Family prayer is the nutriment of family piety, and woe to those who allow it to cease. Let private prayer be more diligently and more spiritually maintained, and let family prayer be kept up with double zeal. God grant that your household may draw near unto Him morning and evening, casting your care upon Him who cares for you.
May the Lord show you His nearness in this need and supply a home where His name may be honored and your family may live in quietness and godliness.
We will continue to bear you before the throne of grace, asking our Father to lead you, to provide for you, and to keep you in His perfect peace until He brings you into a better habitation, for His own glory. Amen.
