Thank you for sharing your burden so honestly. To be forced to leave your home on short notice and then to be placed in conditions that are unhealthy and distressing for your family is a heavy trial, and God sees where you are and what you are carrying.
Scripture shows that God cares about families having a secure place to live. When He brought His people into the land He promised, He gave each family its own portion to remain with them over generations, so that no family would be left without an inheritance. When a family became too poor to keep its land, He provided a kinsman redeemer, a near relative who could step in and redeem what had been lost so it would stay in the family. That reveals His heart to provide and to restore what is needed for a family to dwell in safety and dignity. Your desire for a clean, stable home for your family is a right and good desire before Him.
The greatest provision God has made for every person is for the forgiveness of sin, and there is only one. Forgiveness is not through many ways, but through His only Son, Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for us. The Holy Spirit bears witness to our hearts that this is true, and if we turn away from that one provision there remains no other forgiveness in this world or the world to come. If you have not already done so, turn to Jesus in faith, confess your sin, and receive Him as Savior and Lord. He understands rejection and hardship, and He brings you into a new family, the family of God, where the bond we have in Christ is deeper even than blood ties, and where we are called to bear one another's burdens.
God also leaves room to work in ways that seem impossible to us. Under the old law there was even a detailed instruction for what to do when a leper was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. That law was there because God wanted to make a way for Himself to act if He chose to heal. In the same way, do not put God in a box in your situation. What looks closed to man is not closed to Him. He is able to open doors for housing, to move on hearts, and to provide in unexpected ways.
You are not alone in this. Part of belonging to the family of God is that we are joined together and have responsibility to care for one another, beginning with our own households and extending to our brothers and sisters in faith. We are praying that the Lord will surround you with help and encouragement from those near you as well.
We join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this family to You. You know their need for a safe and healthy home and the distress of their present conditions. We ask that You make provision for them according to Your mercy and wisdom, that You open a door to a suitable home where they can live in peace and health. Guard them from harm and sickness, give them strength and hope each day, and above all draw each heart in this family to trust fully in Jesus for forgiveness and life. Let them know Your presence and Your care, and let them experience Your provision in a way that gives You glory. Amen.
