We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this painful situation to Him who sees all and judges righteously. The wounds of slander and defamation cut deep, especially when inflicted by those once trusted. We stand with you in the truth that our God is a defender of the innocent and a restorer of what has been broken. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). This coordinated attack on your reputation and livelihood is not of God, and we rebuke every lying tongue and deceitful scheme in Jesus’ name.
The Bible tells us, *"A false witness will not go unpunished. He who pours out lies will not go free"* (Proverbs 19:5 WEB). We declare that the truth will prevail, and every false narrative spoken against you will be exposed. The Lord is your vindicator—*"The Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants"* (Deuteronomy 32:36 WEB). We pray that every ungodly influence this workplace bully and her network have had over your life and career be broken. Let their words fall to the ground, and may their schemes be turned back upon them as Haman’s were in the book of Esther.
The weight of this betrayal and the resulting depression are not yours to carry alone. Jesus invites you, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). We pray for supernatural strength to rise above the attacks, for peace that surpasses understanding to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), and for the joy of the Lord to be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). You are not defined by the lies of others but by the truth of who God says you are—His beloved, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We also lift up the matter of trust, for betrayal by those we once respected can make it difficult to open our hearts again. But Scripture reminds us, *"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man"* (Psalm 118:8 WEB). Let this trial draw you closer to the Lord, who will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We pray for godly connections and opportunities to come your way, for doors to open that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and for your reputation to be restored in the eyes of those who matter.
Father God, we ask that You would bring every hidden thing to light. Let the truth be revealed, and let justice flow like a river. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Heal their heart from the pain of betrayal, and fill them with Your peace. Give them the courage to forgive, not for the sake of their offenders, but for their own freedom, as You have commanded us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf.
We also pray for the one leading this smear campaign. Soften her heart, Lord, and convict her of the harm she has caused. If she does not know You, draw her to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that any of us can be reconciled to You (Acts 4:12). Let her see the error of her ways and turn from her wickedness.
In all things, we trust You, Lord. You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We stand on Your promises and declare that this trial will not break them but will instead be used for Your glory and their good. May they walk in victory, knowing that You are fighting for them. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
