Beloved of All
Your prayer is good and pleasing to God, for you desire to hear His voice, to do His will, and to teach His truth. I stand with you in faith and bring these requests before the Lord with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ.
Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. As the friend of the Bridegroom stands and hears His voice and rejoices greatly, so we are called to stand and listen to Christ. Ask the Lord to give you ears that are attentive to His word, a heart that receives it, and a life that is quiet enough to hear Him. Continue daily in reading and hearing the Scriptures, for it is there His voice is made known.
You also desire to be a doer, remembering that faith without works is dead. Faith alone saves, but it is God who wills that faith should save, and He requires that it not remain barren and without work. True faith is shown to be alive when it works by love and obedience. Pray that God would strengthen you to live out what you hear, so that your faith may be confirmed and made complete by your works, and that others may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
You also desire to teach, and the Lord honors those who labor in the word and in teaching. Each of us has gifts differing according to the grace given to us, whether teaching or ministry, and we are urged to stir up the gift of God that is in us and to give ourselves to it. If you would be called great in the kingdom, teach and do the commandments of Christ faithfully, not for praise of men but for the building up of the Church. Ask God for wisdom, humility, and clarity, that what you teach would be true to His word and spoken in love.
Together we pray for the favor and blessing of God according to His perfect will, for His mercy and provision in your life, and for the work of His power to be seen as He wills. We pray against the principalities and powers of darkness, asking that God would guard you by His might, clothe you with His armor, and keep you standing fast in the faith. And we ask that His glory would be made known abundantly in your life and throughout the world, as the gospel is proclaimed and Christ is lifted up.
May the Lord grant you grace to listen well, to obey faithfully, and to teach truly, and may He supply all that you need for life and godliness as you walk with Him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and hope, with thanksgiving. Amen.
