You mentioned the "unforgivable sin", blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and the weight of this thought has clearly brought you great distress. Let us turn to the Word of God to understand this matter rightly. In Mark 3:28-30 (WEB), Jesus says, "Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the children of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation, because they said, ‘He has an unclean spirit.’" The Pharisees committed this sin when they attributed the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan, despite witnessing Christ’s miracles firsthand. This was a deliberate, hardened rejection of God’s truth with full knowledge and understanding.
But here is the key: if you are terrified of having committed this sin, if you are grieving over it, if you desire the Holy Spirit’s presence and forgiveness, this is evidence that you have not committed the unforgivable sin. The very fact that you are seeking God, that you are repentant, and that you fear hell shows that the Holy Spirit is still at work in you. A heart that is truly hardened against God does not care about sin, does not fear judgment, and does not long for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Your sorrow over sin is a sign of God’s grace still drawing you.
The enemy wants you to believe you are beyond hope, but we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus. The screams you hear, the voices calling you, these are tactics of spiritual warfare, not signs of God’s abandonment. James 4:7 (WEB) declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." You must stand firm in the truth of God’s Word and reject these demonic attacks. Do not engage with them, do not fear them, but instead, fix your eyes on Christ.
Your mention of a brain injury is also important. We do not dismiss the reality of physical and neurological struggles, but we must also recognize that the enemy seeks to exploit our weaknesses. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB) tells us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." You must guard your mind and heart, filling them with Scripture and godly truth rather than the enemy’s lies.
Now, let us address the foundation of your faith. You have not mentioned Jesus Christ in your request, and this is a matter of eternal importance. Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We lift up this precious soul who is burdened with fear, guilt, and spiritual attack. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, and You see their genuine sorrow over sin. We thank You that their very distress is evidence of Your Holy Spirit still working within them. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to convince them they are beyond Your grace. Satan, we command you to flee in Jesus’ name! You have no power here.
Father, we ask that You would pour out Your mercy and forgiveness upon them. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, as Your Word promises. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and fill them afresh with the Holy Spirit. Protect their mind from the enemy’s deceptions and heal any wounds, spiritual, emotional, or physical, that the enemy has exploited. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on the truth of Your Word.
We pray for their brain injury, asking for Your healing touch. Give them wisdom, clarity, and peace as they navigate this struggle. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them in their walk with You. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of their faith.
Lord, if they have never truly surrendered their life to You, we pray that You would draw them now. May they confess Jesus as Lord, believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, and be saved. Let today be the day of their salvation, if they have not already received it.
We declare over them the truth of Romans 8:1 (WEB): "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." We speak life, peace, and victory over them in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and grace. We trust You to complete the work You have begun in them. Amen.
Now, dear one, here is what you must do:
1. Reject the lies of the enemy. Every time you hear a voice or feel fear, declare aloud, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus! You have no power over me!" Do not engage with these voices, turn instead to Scripture and prayer.
2. Confess your sins to God. Agree with Him about your sin, receive His forgiveness, and turn away from it. 1 John 1:9 is your promise.
3. Fill your mind with truth. Memorize Scripture, listen to worship music, and surround yourself with godly influences. Philippians 4:8 (WEB) says, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."
4. Seek godly community. You need the support and encouragement of other believers. Find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled.
5. If you have never done so, surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Pray a simple prayer like this: "Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your salvation. I turn away from my sins and ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me eternal life. You are not without hope. The same God who saved the thief on the cross, who rescued Paul from his past, and who delivered countless others from bondage is able to save and restore you. Jeremiah 32:27 (WEB) says, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" The answer is no. Nothing is too hard for Him, not your past, not your struggles, not even the lies of the enemy. Hold fast to Him, and He will hold fast to you.
