Prayer needed to meet nice guy

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray I meet a nice guy to get into a relationship with. The neighbor is single please pray we get along get closer and have a great relationship. Ijnipa

We join with you in bringing your desire for companionship before the Lord and we thank you for closing your request in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in no other name that we are saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We hear your heart to meet a nice man and to see if the Lord might open a door with your single neighbor, and we want to lovingly encourage you to seek something even higher and holier than simply a nice guy and a great relationship. Scripture calls us not to pursue relationships for companionship alone but to seek a godly marriage that honors God. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Genesis 2:24 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 We want to pray with you not just for a boyfriend but for a husband if it is Gods will for you, and to view any courtship as intentional preparation for marriage to a fellow believer in Christ.

We encourage you to look beyond niceness and to seek a man who loves the Lord Jesus with all his heart, who will lead spiritually and love sacrificially. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity. 2 Corinthians 6:14 A nice character without faith in Christ cannot provide the spiritual foundation a marriage needs. We also gently correct and remind that any growing closeness must remain pure before marriage, for God calls us to flee sexual immorality. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 What the world often calls a relationship involving intimacy outside of marriage, God calls fornication and it is to be avoided entirely until the covenant of marriage. Getting along and getting closer should therefore mean growing in friendship, prayer, godly conversation and wise counsel, with accountability from family and the church, keeping clear boundaries.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our sister to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know her longing for love and companionship and You see her heart. We ask that You would first draw her closer to Yourself and help her to delight herself in You and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Matthew 6:33, Psalm 37:4 We pray that if it is Your will for her to be married, You would provide a godly Christian man to be her husband, a man who fears You, walks in integrity and will love her as Christ loved the church. If this neighbor is such a man and if he knows You as Savior, we ask that You would allow a pure and respectful friendship to grow in Your timing and in a way that honors You, with wisdom and discernment for both. If he is not a believer or not Your choice for her, we ask that You would clearly close that door and guard her heart from pursuing what is not best. Keep them both from temptation and from any form of fornication, and help them to honor You with their bodies and minds. Grant her patience, peace and contentment while she waits, trusting that Your plans are good, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray and to seek the Lord diligently, to be active in a Bible believing church where you can be known and where a potential spouse can be observed for his faith and character over time. Guard your heart, seek wise counsel, and trust that the Lord who said He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22 also cares deeply for those who desire a husband. Wait on the Lord and let Him establish your steps.

We hear the longing in your request, and we are praying with you. Wanting companionship and hoping something good could grow with someone nearby is a very human feeling, and loneliness can weigh heavy when you are waiting.

It can help to let a friendship develop slowly and naturally before deciding what it might become. Getting to know your neighbor in simple, everyday ways, with others around, gives you both space to see character and kindness over time without pressure. Staying rooted in your church family and friendships while you wait also matters. Community is where we are seen and supported, and it helps keep loneliness from feeling so isolating.

If it would help, consider asking a trusted friend or pastor who knows you to pray with you specifically for wisdom and clarity as you get to know people, including your neighbor. Having someone who can listen and give honest perspective as things unfold is a steady support.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your peace and guidance in this season. Give wisdom, discernment and patience as she gets to know others, and guard her heart with hope. Lead her in Your will and surround her with caring community. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We have heard your request and we carry it before the Lord with care for your soul and your future. You ask for prayer to meet a nice man and that you and your neighbor who is single may get along and grow closer in a great relationship. We do pray for you, and we pray in a way that seeks first what is best and most lasting for you.

Our first prayer is that you may find Christ Himself, for He is the true Husband of His people. As it is written, Your Maker is your Husband, and His love to His spouse is something special and particular, and it stands quite alone and all by itself. Whatever Christ is, He has given Himself to us, and that love which He lavishes upon His Church He gives to no other. Before any earthly companionship is sought, is your heart set upon finding Christ, or are you merely trifling with Him. We long that you would know that love which passes all other love, that you would be called the spouse of Christ through faith in Him alone, for there is salvation in no other name.

We pray also concerning marriage, for marriage is not a light or casual bond. It is a household ordained of God whereof a man and a woman become companion parts for life, a covenant of one man and one woman until death. The Scripture shows us that the husband assumes all the loving responsibilities which belong to that condition, never shrinking from the loving works which belong to the husband of his chosen spouse. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless living together or any intimacy outside of that covenant, for sex and dwelling together belong within marriage alone. To seek these things outside of marriage is to depart from the way in which our fathers and mothers who feared God have walked, and we would urge you to pause before making any deviation to the right or to the left from that holy path.

Therefore this is our prayer for you in Jesus name. We ask the Lord that if it be His will He would bring into your life not merely a nice man in the eyes of the world, but a godly man who loves Christ and will love you as Christ loves His Church, faithfully and purely. We pray for your neighbor, that your acquaintance may be marked by kindness, modesty and wisdom, and that any growing closeness would be conducted in holiness and with counsel, with a view to that lifelong covenant if the Lord so directs, and not to a fleeting companionship. And we pray that whether the Lord grants this or withholds it for a season, you may be kept in contentment and purity, hedged about by prayer, and may find your deepest joy in belonging to Christ.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will guide your steps, guard your heart, and lead you in the road of faith and obedience to Himself.
