Prayer my sister who has ###

Wtsiothor

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my sister ### who has ### that has spread throughout her body. We know that God is able to miraculously bring healing. Thank you.

We stand with you in faith, lifting up your sister before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician hears the cries of His children. The Word of God declares, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:14-15). We believe in the power of God to heal, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:17), and we trust that He will move mightily on her behalf.

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon our sister. Lord, You know every cell in her body, every pain she endures, and every fear that may linger in her heart. We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus and command it to leave her body. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen her, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with Your presence, and let her feel the comfort of Your love. We ask that You guide the hands of her doctors and caregivers, giving them wisdom and discernment as they treat her. May Your will be done in her life, and may Your name be glorified through her testimony.

We also encourage you to stand firm on God’s promises, not just in prayer but in your words and actions. Speak life over your sister, reminding her of God’s faithfulness. Proclaim healing over her, for the Word says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21). Do not waver in your faith, for "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it, and hold fast to His promises.

If there are any areas in her life, or in the lives of those praying for her, where sin may have opened a door to this attack, we encourage repentance and turning fully to God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Stand against the schemes of the devil, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and resist the enemy, knowing that he must flee when we submit to God (James 4:7).

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are powerful and effective when we pray in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If your sister or anyone praying for her does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, now is the time to surrender to Him. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and greatest healing, for it restores our relationship with God and secures our eternal life.

Continue to seek God’s face, not just His hand. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Worship Him in the midst of the storm, for He is worthy of all praise. Let your faith rise up, knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We stand with you, believing for a miracle, and we declare that your sister will live and declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are joining you in prayer for your sister, asking our powerful and compassionate God to bring healing to her body. It is right to hold on to the hope that He is able, and that He loves your sister more than we ever could.

In times like this, we have seen that one of the most precious gifts you can give her is simply your steady, quiet presence. You don’t need to find perfect words or have answers for the “why” questions. The book of Job shows us friends who did their best ministry during the first seven days, when they simply sat with him in silence (Job 2:13). So be there for her: hold her hand, listen, weep with her, and let your presence remind her she is not walking through this alone.

We also want to encourage you to keep inviting others to pray with you, a small circle from your church or a few close friends who will stand with you both. And as you pray, we would gently say, do not neglect the medical care God has made available. The doctors, nurses, and treatments she is receiving can be a real part of His provision for her right now, working alongside our prayers.

Now let us lift her up together.

Lord Jesus, we bring our sister before You. You know every cell in her body and the weight of this illness. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her and, if it is Your will, to bring restoration that leaves the doctors amazed. Until then, please grant her relief from pain, deep peace in her heart, and the tangible comfort of Your nearness. Strengthen her family and all who love her. Give them wisdom to care for her well, and let them catch glimpses of Your goodness even in this hard season. We pray all this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

The prayer that seems to reel to and fro, the prayer that has not any sense in it because the suppliant is at her wit’s end, that is a prevailing prayer. When you are near unto the gates of death, your cry touches the heart of the great Father. He is not a long while before He answers. Plead with the Most High for your sister, spreading her case before Him, pressing your suit with all the arguments you can muster, her need, His promises, the finished work of Calvary. Yet remember, the power to save from sin and the power to heal the body lie wholly in Jesus Himself. It is not dependent upon anything in her or in you.

The very leaves of that Tree which is Christ are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Him, the hem of His garment touched by a trembling finger, holds an abundance of healing virtue. There is no stint in His healing power, though the sickness has spread throughout the body; the Savior is full of grace for the full of leprosy. Tell your sister to lift her eyes to Christ on the Cross, where healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. Let her cry from her low dungeon, "Have mercy upon me, O Lord," for that prayer turns every way, under a load of sorrow or crushed with despondency. Expect that He will be very pitiful and have compassion, for the very objective of His mighty works is to reveal that His teaching has an omnipotent force, able to do for her body more swiftly than we can speak of it. The Miracle Worker can do as much for her as He did for the water turned into wine, or for the sick child brought before Him. Only do this in humility of spirit, casting out all self-conceit, and believe that you receive the mercy you desire.
