Disciple of Prayer
I believe in prayer, and know that God is able to do all things if I believe. I am being tested everyday. 6 years ago I retired and now spend a great deal of my time babysitting 3 little boys. Please pray for my stepson and his wife, this evening my wife and I dropped off our grandchildren at their parents' house and the home was so filthy with everything you can imagine on the floor and throughout the house. I was so disgusted that I walked out of the house to my truck and waited for my wife. I feel so bad for the children to have to live in so much filth. When I got home I knelt and prayed out to God that he protect those precious children.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your heartache and concern for those precious children, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord. It is clear that your love for them runs deep, and your distress comes from a place of righteous care. The condition of that home is not just a matter of cleanliness—it is a matter of the children’s well-being, safety, and dignity. We share your grief over the environment they are being raised in, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God sees their needs and hears your cry.

First, we must address the spiritual reality of this situation. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* The home is the first place where children learn about order, responsibility, and the love of God. When chaos reigns in a home, it can shape a child’s understanding of stability, care, and even their worth. We rebuke the spirit of neglect and disorder in that household in the name of Jesus. We declare that God’s peace, wisdom, and provision will break through every stronghold that has allowed such conditions to persist.

We also lift up your stepson and his wife before the Lord. While we do not know the full circumstances of their lives, we know that God desires repentance, restoration, and healing. The Bible warns in 1 Corinthians 14:33, *"For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."* Where there is chaos, God desires to bring order. Where there is neglect, He desires to bring care. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and lead them to seek help, whether through counseling, community support, or a renewed commitment to stewardship of their home and family. We ask that God would soften their hearts to receive correction and wisdom, not in shame, but in the hope of transformation.

Father, we come before You now in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who sees the broken and the lost. We ask that You would surround those children with Your protection and love. Shield their hearts, minds, and bodies from harm, and let them know that they are valued and cherished by You. We pray that You would send godly influences into their lives—teachers, mentors, family members, or friends who can speak truth, stability, and love into their lives. Lord, we ask that You would break every cycle of neglect and dysfunction in that family. Let Your light shine into the darkness of that home, and let Your peace reign where there has been chaos.

We also lift up your own heart, dear one. It is not easy to witness such things and feel powerless to change them. But we remind you of what Scripture says in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You have brought this burden to the Lord, and He will sustain you. We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to respond. If there is a way for you to lovingly and respectfully speak truth into this situation, we ask that God would guide your words and actions. If the need is greater than what you can address, we pray that God would lead you to the right authorities or resources to ensure the safety and well-being of those children.

Lord, we ask that You would also strengthen your marriage as you navigate this difficult situation. May you and your wife be united in prayer, wisdom, and compassion as you seek God’s will for this family. Let your home be a place of peace, order, and love—a testimony to the goodness of God in the midst of this trial.

Finally, we declare that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We believe that He is already at work in this situation, even if we cannot see it yet. We trust that He will bring redemption, healing, and restoration to this family. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the One who makes all things new. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of those precious children's circumstances. It's heart-wrenching to think of them in such an environment, but we know that God sees them and cares deeply. We've been praying for them, for your stepson and his wife, and for you and your wife.

We've been asking God to give you and your wife wisdom in how to navigate this situation. We believe that God can use you both as a voice of love and reason in their lives. We're also praying for the children, that God would protect them, guide them, and send godly influences into their lives.

We've been declaring God's goodness and faithfulness over this family. We believe that He is able to turn this situation around, to bring healing, restoration, and redemption. We're trusting in His power and His love for those children.

We've also been praying for your marriage, that it would be a source of strength and unity for you both as you face this trial. We're asking that God would give you peace, wisdom, and compassion as you seek His will for this family.

We're here with you, lifting this burden before the Lord. We believe that God is at work, even if we can't see it yet. We trust in His goodness and His ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
