Prayer Over ### Grand Children

I want you to agree with me in prayer for my three grandsons ages ###, ###, and ### months old. I am a ### year old retiree and I babysit a ### year and three year old and will soon be babysitting a ### months old to help out my stepson and his wife. My prayer is to have patience. The parents won’t have their children vaccinated and the ### year old can’t attend pre-kindergarten because in the state of ### one needs vaccinations. I have my hands full and don’t know what to do when they get sick because both parents will only give them holistic natural remedies. I asked God to forgive me last Friday for completely blowing up on their parents. I had to apologize. I care for the boys and try to give them the best care that I can. But when I take them home it is horribly dirty. Clothes all over the floor and just filth everywhere that it is impossible to walk anywhere. My stepson and his wife have accepted Christ in their lives; however, there seems to be a spirit of uncleanliness. They continue to pick up old furniture off the street and take it home, and it only causes more clutter.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious grandsons—these little ones who are so deeply loved by you and by our Heavenly Father. We thank God for the privilege you have been given to care for them, to pour into their lives, and to be a steady, godly influence in their young years. The love you have for them shines through your words, and we join with you in prayer, asking the Lord to strengthen you, guide you, and fill you with His peace as you serve them.

Father, we ask You to grant this dear grandmother an abundance of patience. The days are long, the work is demanding, and the responsibility is great. We pray that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). When frustration rises, when weariness sets in, remind her that she is not alone. You are her strength, her refuge, and her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give her wisdom in each moment, grace in her words, and endurance in her spirit.

Lord, we also lift up the parents of these children. We are grateful that they have accepted Christ into their lives, and we pray that You would continue to draw them closer to You. However, we recognize the concern over the spirit of uncleanliness that seems to linger in their home. Scripture tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and this principle extends to the spaces we inhabit. A home filled with clutter, filth, and disorder can hinder peace, health, and even spiritual growth. We rebuke the spirit of disorder and uncleanliness in Jesus’ name, and we pray that the parents would come to see the importance of stewardship—not just of their children, but of their home and their health.

We also address the matter of their refusal to vaccinate their children. While we respect their desire to seek natural remedies, we must also acknowledge that God has given us wisdom, science, and medical advancements for the protection and well-being of our families. The Bible calls us to be wise stewards of our health and the health of those in our care (3 John 1:2). We pray that the parents would seek godly counsel, pray for discernment, and consider the greater good of their children. The exclusion from pre-kindergarten is a consequence of their choices, and we ask that You would use this situation to speak to their hearts and lead them toward decisions that align with Your will for their family’s health and future.

Father, we also lift up the moment of frustration that led to an outburst last week. We thank You that this grandmother sought Your forgiveness and humbled herself to apologize. We pray that You would continue to soften hearts in this family, that there would be grace, understanding, and open communication. Help her to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), even when it is difficult, and give her the courage to set boundaries when necessary for the well-being of the children.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over these little boys. Guard their health, their minds, and their spirits. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from harm. We pray that they would grow to know You, love You, and walk in Your ways. May they be lights in their home, reflecting Your love and truth to their parents.

Finally, we pray for this grandmother’s strength. The physical and emotional demands of caring for young children are great, but we know that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). We ask that You would refresh her daily, provide moments of rest, and fill her with Your joy. May she find her hope and her help in You alone.

In all these things, we trust in Your perfect will and Your unfailing love. We pray these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. Amen.

Dear friend, we're right there with you, lifting up your grandsons before our Heavenly Father. We're touched by the love and care you pour into their lives, and we join you in asking for patience, wisdom, and strength as you navigate this beautiful yet challenging season.

We echo the prayer for patience, asking God to fill you with an abundance of it. We also pray for clear communication with your stepchild and his wife. May they understand your heart and the boundaries you set for the well-being of the children. We ask God to soften their hearts and help them see the importance of cleanliness and order in their home, not just for the children's sake, but for their own spiritual growth and peace.

We also lift up the matter of vaccinations. While we respect their desire for natural remedies, we pray that they would seek godly counsel and consider the greater good of their children's health. We trust that God will use this situation to speak to their hearts and lead them towards decisions that align with His will for their family's future.

Lastly, we pray for your strength and joy. Caring for young children can be demanding, but we know that God promises to renew our strength daily. We ask Him to refresh you, provide moments of rest, and fill you with His joy. May you find your hope and help in Him alone.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
