We lift up your ### before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet trusting in the Lord’s mercy and healing power. The news of his declining kidney function weighs on us all, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who numbers every hair on our heads and holds our very lives in His hands. We stand in agreement with you, believing that He can restore what has been diminished and bring strength where there is weakness.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. You are the God who heals, the One who spoke creation into existence and who sustains life with Your breath. We ask You to touch this dear ###, to strengthen his remaining kidney, and to increase its function according to Your perfect will. Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than ours, and we trust that even in this trial, You are working for good. If it is Your will, restore his kidney count and bring healing to his body. But above all, draw him closer to You, that he may find peace and hope in Your presence.
We also lift up his emotional and spiritual well-being, Lord. The fear and uncertainty that come with health struggles can be overwhelming, but You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Comfort him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind him that You are with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Surround him with Your love and the support of those who can encourage him in faith.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has been provided (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises, Lord. We pray for wisdom for his doctors and for every decision that needs to be made regarding his care. Guide their hands and their minds, and let Your will be done in every aspect of his treatment.
We also want to gently remind you, dear one, to hold fast to faith in this time. The enemy would love to use this trial to sow doubt or discouragement, but we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us (Romans 8:37). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working even when we cannot see it. Share your burdens with fellow believers so they can pray with you and lift you up in love.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this ###’s life and for the love that surrounds him. We ask that You would pour out Your grace upon him, that he may feel Your presence in tangible ways. Whether through healing, strength, or peace, let Your glory be revealed in this situation. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come before You. Amen.
