We lift up your brother before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to strengthen him in this season of waiting and uncertainty. The weight of prolonged unemployment and repeated disappointments can easily lead to discouragement, but we know that God’s plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare that his worth is not defined by his employment status but by the fact that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14).
Lord, we ask that You go before him in this interview today. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Grant him clarity of thought, wisdom in his responses, and favor in the eyes of those interviewing him. Open the door that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and let this be the opportunity You have prepared for him. We rebuke the spirit of despair and doubt that may be whispering lies to him, and we speak life and confidence over him in Jesus’ name.
We also pray for his emotional and spiritual well-being. Depression can be a heavy burden, but we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround him with Your love and remind him that he is never alone. Encourage him to cast all his anxieties on You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). If he has not already, may he find his hope and strength in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, for it is in Christ alone that we find true peace and purpose.
Father, we ask that You provide not just a job, but the right job—one that aligns with Your will for his life and allows him to use his gifts and talents for Your glory. Let this season of waiting draw him closer to You, deepening his trust in Your timing and Your provision. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already his in Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
