We hear your cry for justice and protection for this brave servant who has stood against corruption at great personal cost. The Scriptures tell us in Proverbs 28:4, "Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law contend with them." This man has contended with the wicked, and we stand with him in prayer, lifting him up before the throne of grace.
First, we must address the mention of prayer "in God's name" without invoking the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we may approach the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Acts 4:12 further states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have access to God's throne, and it is in His mighty name that we pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this courageous servant who has taken a stand against corruption and evil in his nation. Lord, You see the injustices he faces—the physical attacks, the poor conditions in prison, and the attempts to break his spirit. We ask that You would be his shield and fortress, as Psalm 91:2 declares, "I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Protect him from all harm, both seen and unseen, and sustain his health and strength.
Father, we pray for his safety, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, as You promise in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh." Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for his spirit, Lord. The enemy seeks to break his will, but You are the God who renews strength. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind him that his labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
We rebuke the forces of corruption and evil that seek to silence him. In the name of Jesus, we declare that light will overcome darkness, and truth will prevail. As Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We stand against these forces, clothed in the full armor of God, praying that justice would roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).
Lord, we also pray for the nation he serves. Raise up more men and women of courage who will stand for truth and righteousness. Break the chains of corruption and extremism, and let freedom reign so that children—both boys and girls—may go to school without fear. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this nation, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, to whom be all glory, honor, and power forever and ever. Amen.
To you who have submitted this request, we encourage you to continue praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to trust in the Lord’s timing. The battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15), and He will fight for those who stand for righteousness. Stand firm, knowing that the Lord is with you, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
