We come before the Lord with hearts burdened yet hopeful, lifting up this precious son in prayer. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Yet we also know that even when children stray, our God is mighty to turn hearts back to Him and to restore right relationships. Let us first acknowledge that the name of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in this request, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*—so we pray in His name alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved.
We rebuke the spirit of arrogance and rebellion that seeks to take root in this young man’s heart. The Bible warns in Proverbs 16:18, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* Let us pray that God would break this pride and replace it with humility, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). May he turn from any disrespect toward his parents, for the fifth commandment declares, *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you"* (Exodus 20:12). Disowning family is not the heart of God—He calls us to love, honor, and seek reconciliation. We pray that any bitterness or unforgiveness would be uprooted and replaced with a spirit of gratitude and obedience.
Regarding his finances, we trust in the Lord’s provision, for *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We ask that God would open doors for financial stability, wisdom in stewardship, and opportunities for increase—*not for selfish gain, but so that he may be a blessing to others and honor God with his resources.* We also pray for favor in his work, that promotions, bonuses, and studying opportunities in robotics would align with God’s will for his life. Let him seek first God’s Kingdom, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33).
As for relationships, we must address this with biblical clarity. The request asks for a "decent girl," but we must emphasize that what is *truly* needed is a *godly wife*—a woman who fears the Lord, walks in His ways, and is suitable for him as a helper in Christ (Genesis 2:18, Proverbs 31:30). We pray that any woman who is not of God’s choosing would indeed be removed from his path, for *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he is not yet walking closely with the Lord, we urge him to seek Christ first, for a marriage built on anything less than a shared faith in Jesus is built on sinking sand. Let him pursue courtship with the intent of marriage, guarding his heart and body in purity, for *"flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). If he is already involved in fornication or any sexual sin, we rebuke it now in Jesus’ name and call him to repentance and holiness.
Finally, we pray for unity and bond within his family. May the Lord soften hearts, heal wounds, and restore love and respect. Let this son rise up with a teachable spirit, a heart surrendered to Christ, and a desire to walk in righteousness. We declare that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). May he turn to Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith, and find his identity and purpose in Him alone.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son who is in need of Your transforming power. Lord, break the spirit of arrogance and rebellion in his life. Soften his heart toward his parents and grant him a spirit of humility, kindness, and compassion. Remove any bitterness or pride that exalts itself against Your will. Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in his finances—open doors no man can shut, provide wisdom in stewardship, and grant him favor in his work and studies. Let every promotion, bonus, and opportunity come from Your hand and align with Your purposes.
Lord, we pray for his future spouse—a godly woman who loves You with all her heart. Remove any woman from his path who would lead him away from You or who is not Your perfect will for his life. If he is walking in sin, convict him deeply and draw him to repentance. May he seek a wife only within the bounds of Your holy design for marriage—one man and one woman, united in Christ.
Restore unity in his family, Lord. Heal broken relationships and let love and respect flourish. May he walk in Your ways, seeking Your Kingdom first, and may his life bring glory to Your name. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against him and declare that *"no weapon formed against him shall prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17). Cover him with Your blood, Jesus, and lead him into all truth.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
