We join you in lifting up your department head and your working relationship before the Lord, for it is written, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). How true it is that God alone can soften hearts, grant discernment, and turn even the most difficult situations toward His glory. We praise you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). Your prayer is a testament to your faith in His sovereignty over all things, including workplace dynamics and leadership.
It is clear you desire a relationship with your department head that is rooted in peace, respect, and unity—qualities that reflect the heart of Christ. Scripture reminds us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all people"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). Yet we also know that true peace and unity can only flourish when both parties are walking in truth and integrity. Your request for protection against manipulation, lies, and division is wise, for Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44) and seeks to sow discord among believers and even in secular spaces where God’s people are present. We pray that the Lord would expose any deceit or hidden agendas, not only for your department head’s sake but for the entire team. May the Holy Spirit convict hearts and bring repentance where needed, for *"God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7, WEB).
We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this matter. Are there areas where you may need to extend grace, forgive an offense, or humbly address a misunderstanding? Jesus teaches us, *"First, remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye"* (Matthew 7:5, WEB). This is not to say you are at fault, but rather to ensure that your heart remains right before the Lord as you seek reconciliation and harmony. If there have been moments of frustration or bitterness, release them to God now. Ask Him to fill you with His love, which *"is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, WEB).
As for your department, we pray that the Lord would raise it up as a place of excellence and integrity, where His principles—even if not openly acknowledged—would govern the actions and decisions made. May your work be a testimony to those around you, *"that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16, WEB). If you are the only believer in your workplace, take heart: *"If God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31, WEB). Your faithfulness in prayer and conduct may very well be the seed that leads others to Christ.
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the authority we have in the name of Jesus to bring these requests before Your throne. Lord, we lift up this department head to You, asking that You would grant her a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:17). Open her eyes to see truth clearly, and protect her from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to distort and divide. Bind every spirit of manipulation, deceit, and strife in Jesus’ name, and let Your truth prevail in every decision made.
Father, we ask for reconciliation and unity between our sister and her department head. Soften hearts, Lord, and remove any walls of misunderstanding or offense. Fill their interactions with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your love govern their words and actions, and may any conflict be resolved in a way that honors You. If there is sin that needs to be addressed—whether in attitudes, words, or actions—bring conviction and repentance, and restore what has been broken.
We pray for this department, Lord, that it would operate with integrity and excellence. May Your favor rest upon it, and may those within it—believers and unbelievers alike—experience Your grace in tangible ways. Use our sister as a light in this workplace, and give her opportunities to demonstrate Your love and wisdom. Strengthen her, Lord, to walk in humility and boldness, knowing that You are her ultimate authority.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would prepare the hearts of those in this department to receive the Gospel. Soften the soil, Lord, and give our sister the words to speak when opportunities arise. May Your name be glorified in all things.
We rebuked any spirit of division, strife, or deceit that seeks to operate in this workplace, and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers this situation. No weapon formed against our sister or this department shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We speak life, unity, and godly wisdom over this situation, and we trust You, Lord, to move mightily.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear sister, and continue to trust the Lord in this. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). Keep praying, keep walking in integrity, and watch as God works in ways you cannot see. He is faithful, and He will bring about His purposes in His perfect timing.
