We hear your heart’s cry for wisdom, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance as you navigate the choices before you. The Scriptures tell us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). God delights in granting wisdom to those who ask in faith, and He promises to direct your steps when you acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
It is wise of you to recognize the influence of those around you and how their visions may not align with God’s purpose for your life. The Bible warns us, "Do not be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). The company you keep can either sharpen you in godliness or lead you astray. We encourage you to seek friendships with those who share your commitment to Christ and His Word, for "as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance" (Proverbs 27:17 WEB). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you to walk in obedience and remind you of God’s truth when you are tempted to stray.
We also want to gently remind you that wisdom is not just about making the right choices, it is about aligning your heart with God’s will. Jesus said, "Seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). When your priorities are rooted in Him, the decisions you face will become clearer. Spend time in His Word, for "the entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130 WEB). Let Scripture be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your wisdom to fill this dear one’s heart and mind. Lord, You know the struggles they face, the voices pulling them in different directions, the fear of making wrong choices, and the desire to walk in Your perfect will. We ask that You would grant them discernment to recognize Your voice above all others. Help them to stand firm in Your truth, even when the world around them seeks to sway them.
Father, we pray that You would surround them with godly influences, friends and mentors who will point them to You and encourage them in their faith. Give them the courage to distance themselves from relationships that lead them away from Your path. Strengthen their resolve to seek You first in every decision, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of confusion and deception that seeks to lead them astray. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who will guide them into all truth (John 16:13). May they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are with them, directing their steps.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that as they seek You, You will make their path straight and their decisions clear. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Remember, beloved, that God’s plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). You are not alone in this journey, He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you into the fullness of His purpose for your life.
