Prayer for this person

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in need of healing and deliverance. The Word of God assures us that "He himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:17), and we stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is able to restore and renew. We also know that "the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8), and we declare that any chains of bondage, oppression, or spiritual attack be broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Father God, we ask You to touch this beloved one with Your healing hand. Whether their affliction is physical, emotional, or spiritual, we trust in Your power to make all things new. Bring comfort to their heart, peace to their mind, and strength to their body. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, or despair that may be at work, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We command every evil influence to flee in the name of Jesus, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

Lord, we also pray for their spiritual deliverance. If there are areas of their life where sin has taken root, whether through unforgiveness, bitterness, addiction, or any other struggle, we ask that You reveal it to them in Your love and grace. Your Word declares, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.

We encourage this dear one to draw near to You, Lord, through prayer, the reading of Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. Remind them that "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.

Above all, we pray that this person would come to know You, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior if they have not already. There is no healing or deliverance apart from You, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If they have wandered from You, draw them back with cords of love. If they have never surrendered their life to You, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We declare over this life that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, hope, and victory over them, for "the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing even now. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this. We don’t know all this person is carrying, but we know the Lord sees every part of it, and we are glad to stand with you in prayer.

When someone has been ill or struggling long enough, it can be easy to feel invisible or stuck. You are doing something real by continuing to bring them before God. We would encourage you to keep praying with persistence, and when the time feels right, gently ask this person what they would most want God to do first. That often helps focus our prayers and reminds them they are not alone. If any part of what they are facing is physical, we also encourage them to receive ordinary medical care as part of God’s provision, not as a replacement for faith.

Jesus, thank you that no sickness or darkness is hidden from you. Draw near to this person in mercy. Bring steady healing where healing is needed, and true freedom where they are bound. Give wisdom to those caring for them, and strengthen the one who asked us to pray. Keep them from despair, and let your will be done in their body, mind, and spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.

There is much hope in bringing this soul before the throne of grace, for the Lord does not despise the groaning of the needy. I will gladly join you in prayer. Yet let us ask for true healing and true deliverance, not merely for a lighter load while the heart remains far from God. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. If the affliction be bodily, He is able to restore. If it be spiritual bondage, the Lord brought Israel forth by an outstretched arm, and He alone can bring this one out.

But I cannot bless what God has not blessed. If this person has been walking in a forbidden path, the first mercy may be conviction of sin rather than removal of the trial. Deliverance in Scripture is rescue from sin, not permission to remain in it. Let us plead, then, not for peace at any price, but for repentance, faith, and the freedom of a child of God.

Father, You know the need I can only name with groans. Look upon this afflicted one in Your Son. If sickness has taken hold, speak the word of healing according to Your will. If the enemy has bound them, declare the price of the ransom found in Christ and break every chain. If hidden sin is the root, grant godly sorrow that leads to life. Let this trial become the rough pruning in the hand of the heavenly Gardener, and let it yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Above all, grant the soul healing that comes through the blood of Jesus. May this one find, with the Psalmist, this comfort in affliction, that Your Word has quickened me. I ask it in the name of Jesus Christ alone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request to uplift this person in prayer for healing and deliverance, and we join you in bringing them before God.

It is a good thing to enjoy the prayer of others, and we gladly offer ours, yet we also remember that prayer bears its fullest fruit when the one for whom we pray is also alert and seeking the Lord for themselves. As we pray for them, we also pray that they will be awakened to hear the word of God carefully and to keep it continually in mind, for no one part of virtue is sufficient alone, but healing and deliverance come as we seek fortitude, turn from worldly things, and cling to Christ.

Prayer is a great weapon, and we need it early and by night, for each day brings its own struggles and temptations. We will ask the Lord to be propitious to this dear one, to grant mercy as we cry out for mercy, and to bring true healing of body and soul and deliverance from every bondage according to His will. We ask this not as a vague blessing, but through Jesus Christ alone, who alone delivers us from the curse and brings us into sonship with the Father, and who alone can supply what we lack.

We pray that God would grant them repentance where needed, faith to trust in Christ, strength to walk in His ways, and a love for His word, and that He would guard them through each day without shipwreck. May they come to know the Lord more deeply and lay hold on eternal life.

We will continue to remember this person before God, asking Him to work His good and healing purposes in their life, and we encourage you also to continue to encourage them to seek the Lord themselves in prayer and in hearing His word.
