“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. Luke 21:33. "For all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs, Mt 24:8.

Matt 24:8-14, "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. And this Gospel of The Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the people groups, and then the end shall come," Mt 24:8-14.

Luke 21:34-36, “So be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have STRENGTH to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Father, thank You for telling us these things through Your Son before they take place, so that while they are occurring, we may be believing, John 14:29. We know that everything that can be shaken will be shaken -- heaven, earth, sea, dry land and all nations, Hag 4:6-7 -- so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Heb 12:27, Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire, Heb 12:28. As things shift in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matt 6:11, for connection to Jesus, John 15:1-5, our Beloved, who is like a bundle of myrrh through the night who warms our hearts, Song 1:13, and for strength to ensure not only these trials with joy, Matt 5:12, James 1:2-3, but persecutions, famines, perils, wars and rumors of wars, even earthquakes in various places, storms of life and real storms on earth, knowing that no created thing can keep us from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Rom 8:35, for Jesus is risen and ascended and at Your Right Hand of Power, making intercession for us, Rom 8:34, praying our faith will not fail, that we stay connected to Him (and therefore to all the other branches that are connected to The Vine, John 15:1-5, and once we turn to You, not only is the veil is taken away, 2 Cor 3:16, so that with unveiled face we may be transformed from glory to glory, from the work of The Lord The Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 3:18, so that we may from that position of refreshing by abiding in Your presence, Acts 3:19, bear fruit, John 15:7-8, and strengthen others, Lk 22:32, introducing them to Christ's love through the ministry of reconciliation as Ambassadors of The New Creation, 2 Cor 5:14-21.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the (uncreated) love of God, which is being in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:27-29.

We ask these things in accordance Your will, Matt 12:50, which is Your Word, Luke 8:21, knowing that is what You hear, and when You hear, we have the requests we've asked, 1 Jn 5:14-15. With thanksgiving we make these requests known, Phil 4:6, thanking You in advance, Mk 11:24, with the promise that the peace of God which passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7. Thank You again in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen, The Faithful Witness and Originator of This New Creation, Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We stand together in awe of the wisdom and foresight our Heavenly Father has given us through His Word, particularly in the passages you’ve shared from Matthew 24, Luke 21, and John 15. These scriptures serve as both a warning and a comfort, reminding us that while the world will face trials, wars, and upheavals, our hope is firmly anchored in Christ Jesus, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). The birth pangs of the new creation are indeed upon us, and we must remain vigilant, abiding in Him so that we may bear fruit even in the midst of chaos.

Your prayer reflects a deep understanding of the times and a heart that seeks to remain steadfast in faith. We join you in gratitude for the Lord’s promise that His words will never pass away (Luke 21:33) and that nothing, no trial, persecution, or storm, can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). This is our firm foundation, and we declare it with you: Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

Yet, we must also address the call to holiness and readiness that accompanies these warnings. Jesus instructs us in Luke 21:34-36 to guard our hearts against the distractions of this world, dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life, that can dull our spiritual senses. These are not merely external threats but internal temptations that can weaken our resolve. We must examine our lives and ask: Are we abiding in Christ daily, or are we allowing the cares of this world to choke out our faith (Mark 4:19)? Are we walking in the Spirit, or are we grieving Him through sin or complacency (Ephesians 4:30)?

The call to abide in Christ (John 15:7-8) is not passive; it requires active obedience, prayer, and a continual surrender to His will. As branches connected to the Vine, we must remain in Him, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). This means daily time in the Word, prayer, fellowship with other believers, and a willingness to repent when we stray. It also means bearing fruit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), even when the world around us is in turmoil.

We also lift up the reality of persecution, which Jesus foretold would come for those who bear His name (Matthew 24:9). In many parts of the world, believers are already facing imprisonment, violence, and even death for their faith. We must pray not only for our own strength but for our brothers and sisters who are suffering for Christ’s sake. Let us intercede for them, that they would remain faithful and that their witness would draw others to the Lord. And let us prepare our own hearts, for the day may come when we, too, will face such trials. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10).

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze God’s people in these last days. The enemy would have us cower in anxiety, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that we will not be shaken, for our God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We will stand firm, knowing that He who began a good work in us will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Let us also remember that our ultimate hope is not in this world but in the new creation that is to come. The birth pangs we see now are leading to the glorious revelation of God’s kingdom, where there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, we are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:20), sharing the gospel with boldness and love, even in the face of opposition. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Let us pray for workers to be sent into the harvest and for open doors to proclaim the message of Christ (Colossians 4:3).

We pray now, lifting up these truths before the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your Word, which lights our path in these dark times. Thank You for the promise that Your words will never pass away and that Your love will never fail us. Lord, we ask for strength to endure the storms ahead, not by our own power, but by the power of Your Holy Spirit dwelling within us. Help us to abide in Christ daily, that we may bear fruit in every season, even when the world around us is shaking.

Father, we ask for wisdom to discern the times and to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on our lives. Guard our hearts against the distractions and temptations of this world, and fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. When persecution comes, give us the courage to stand firm and the grace to respond with love, even to those who hate us.

We pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering for the sake of Christ. Strengthen them, Lord, and let their faith be a testimony to the power of Your name. May their endurance inspire others to turn to You. And for those of us who have not yet faced such trials, prepare our hearts, that we may be found faithful when the time comes.

Father, we long for the day when You will make all things new. Until then, use us as vessels of Your love and truth. Give us opportunities to share the gospel and to make disciples of all nations. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for the assurance that You are with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Amen.

Thank you for this prayer so steeped in Scripture. We hear behind it a heart longing to stay grounded in Jesus no matter what shakes, and that desire itself is a good sign the Spirit is holding you close.

One thing that helps us when the future feels heavy: our identity in Christ doesn’t wobble with the world. A branch doesn’t strain to produce fruit; it just stays connected to the vine. When you already know you belong to Him, your steady confidence grows less from mustering courage and more from simply resting in the life that flows into you. He’s not asking you to white‑knuckle your way through storms, He’s inviting you to abide.

Maybe the next right step is small and daily. Every morning, before the headlines and worries crowd in, sit for a few minutes and quietly picture yourself as that branch. Tell Jesus the specific fears you’re carrying, and then listen. Over time, that practice builds a reflex: in the moment the earth seems to reel, your soul will already know how to lean into Him instead of into panic.

You also mentioned strengthening others. Is there someone near you who’s newly afraid or weary? Walking with them, even just checking in, will often steady your own footing, because it pulls your gaze away from the storm and onto the Shepherd who holds you both.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You have already overcome the world. Anchor our friend’s heart so deeply in You that no shaking can steal their peace. Let them taste daily the sufficiency of Your presence, and as they abide, produce fruit that remains, even when everything else seems to be passing away. We rest with them in Your unshakable kingdom. Amen.

Your request for strength to endure the coming storms and to abide fruitfully in Christ touches my heart deeply. You have rightly turned to the Scriptures, for in them alone we find the words of eternal life. Our Lord warned us that these things must come, but He also promised that His word would never pass away. Therefore, let not your heart be troubled.

First, remember that all strength apart from God is derived strength and will fail. Our own righteousness, our own resolves, our own spiritual attainments: all these are but vanity. The cistern of self will dry up, but the fountain of divine grace never runs dry. He has said, “I will strengthen them in the Lord,” and His government is such that He can make the unwilling willing, and the weak mighty. Fling yourself, then, upon the sovereign strength of your God. He is able to keep you from falling.

Consider also that to walk with God we must be agreed with Him. Our stubborn wills must be subdued to His will. When we learn to say, “Not as I will, but as Thou wilt,” then we find power to walk in daily, intimate communion with Him. The trials you anticipate are not meant to destroy you, but to wean you from self-dependence and to drive you closer to Christ. Look unto Jesus, who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and faint in your minds. He knows how to succour the tempted, for He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin.

I would also urge you to examine yourself, whether you be in the faith. In these days of lawlessness, when the love of many grows cold, it is easy to be deceived. The Church may receive you at the table, but only the Spirit can bear witness with your spirit that you are born of God. Search your heart with the candle of the Lord. Is there a genuine work of grace? Have you that earnest of the Spirit which is the pledge of your inheritance? If you have it, then let nothing shake your confidence. If you lack it, then cry out to Him who is mighty to save, and He will give you the true preparation for heaven: even a new heart and a right spirit.

Do not be cast down by the sense of your weakness. It is the glory of our strength that it is all of God. When we are weak, then are we strong in Him. Pray with the disciples, “Lord, increase our faith,” for faith is the victory that overcometh the world. Faith will enable you to endure tribulation, to bear fruit, and to strengthen your brethren. Faith will keep you looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

As the world shakes and the nations rage, let your heart be fixed, trusting in the Lord. The things that cannot be shaken will remain, and you are receiving a kingdom that is unshakeable. Therefore, be filled with gratitude, and worship God with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire, yet to those who are in Christ Jesus, He is our exceeding great reward.

May the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. And may you be found in Him, not having your own righteousness, but that which is through faith, that you may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.

The very words you have offered from the Lord’s own lips are a strong tower. You have set your mind on things above and not on the shaking of what must be shaken. That is wisdom. Yet do not be surprised if the birth pangs you speak of press hard upon you, for I have often said that the pangs of spiritual childbirth do not end when a soul first believes. They last until that final breath. As a mother is delighted in her grief for her children, so there is a sweetness in this labor that keeps us watching and praying. The soldier of Jesus Christ is not promised a soft billet, but hardness. To endure hardness is the very mark of that calling; to complain would be to step out of rank. So let the coming storms, whether of persecution or the common cares of life, become that reproach of Christ which Moses esteemed greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. When the world hates you for His name, you are bearing that reproach, and it is a treasure indeed.

You have asked for strength to abide fruitfully in the Vine. Know that the new birth by water and the Spirit has brought you into a light that must be guarded with all earnestness. God’s grace gave the cleansing; your own diligence, supplied by that same Spirit, must preserve the purity. The faithful are called faithful precisely because they have left the weakness of human reasoning below and ascended to the height of trust. That is how you will stand before the Son of Man: not by calculating the storms, but by casting yourself entirely upon the promise that His words will never pass away.

Do not let the daily revolutions of evils seem new or strange. Day and night, winter and summer repeat their course, and so do trials. But all chastisement for the present seems bitter, yet afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness. The bark is rough, but the fruit is sweet. Look through the hardness to that sweet and peaceful end. And as you wait with patience for the Lord, do not seek to please yourself. Let the weak test your strength; use whatever grace you have received to edify your neighbor. In that way you will draw others into the unshakable kingdom, and you will find that even in the fire, the uncreated love of God in Christ holds you fast. For if neither death nor life nor any created thing can separate you from that love, what have you to fear? He who endured the Cross for the joy set before Him now sits at the right hand of Power, ever living to make intercession for you. That is your anchor. That is your strength. Watch, pray, and be of good courage.
