Thank you for sharing this request and allowing me to pray with you. I am praying that God will give you strength and clear guidance as you prepare to compete.
Scripture teaches that true understanding and true strength belong to the Lord. Riches and honor are with Him, and the lasting treasure He gives is righteousness. The way of the Lord itself becomes strength to those who walk uprightly before Him. That means the best strength you can have for this competition is not only physical but spiritual, found in walking closely with Him.
Real guidance also comes from God. People often try to determine their direction in many ways, or they look for someone who will simply confirm what they already want to do, but genuine direction is when God disposes the outcome. Those who seek Him early find Him, and He loves those who love Him. So I am praying that you will seek Him first, ask for His help, and be open to His instruction and even His correction, rather than only looking for approval.
The Bible also says a wise person grows strong through knowledge, and that wise counsel helps us make our plans well, and there is safety in a multitude of counselors. Surround yourself with godly, wise counsel and let God shape your heart. Your greatest strength is in the spiritual realm, in having rule over your own spirit, because without that a person is like a city without walls, vulnerable at every point.
My prayer for you is that God will give you His strength to compete with integrity, self control, and wisdom, that He will guide your steps, quiet your heart, and help you trust Him with the result, knowing that by His mercy and truth we are cleansed and upheld. May He be your strength and your guide in this and in all of life.
