Prayer for sleep

We join you in bringing this need before the Father and we thank you for asking in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We know how wearying pain can be and how it can steal our rest, and we lift you up asking God for His healing touch and for the gift of peaceful, restorative sleep. Scripture reminds us of His care for us in these very things, for it is written He gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2 and I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. Jesus Himself invites us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We also remember that God is our healer and our comfort, and we can cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain and the weariness and the longing for rest. We ask in Your will that You would lay Your healing hand upon this body, ease the pain, calm the mind and spirit, and grant deep, peaceful and restorative sleep. Let Your presence bring comfort through the night and let them awaken refreshed and renewed in strength. Help them to rest in Your love and to trust You to watch over them as they sleep, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our peace, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every care to Him in prayer before you lie down, to keep your heart fixed on His promises, and to create a quiet time in the evening to dwell on His Word and His faithfulness. Trust that He is working even as you rest and that His mercies are new every morning. We are standing with you for relief, for healing, and for sweet sleep in Christ.

We ask for Your comfort to be near, for guidance for those caring for them, and for moments of true, restoring sleep according to Your mercy. Give them peace tonight and strength for each day ahead. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We join with you in prayer before the throne of grace for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep.
Sleep is the gift of God. We think we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is the Lord who must give it, and when He gives it there is with it contentment and security, a rest that the world cannot give. May the Lord who watches over His children without slumbering Himself grant you that sweet sleep of His beloved, a sleep that recruits exhausted strength and refreshes the weary frame.
He knows your pain, for His eyes were always quick to spy out the lame and the suffering, and His hands were always stretched out for their relief, for He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed. There is no pain hidden from Him, and there is no groan unheard by Him. We pray that His hand would be upon you to ease your body, to calm your mind, and to give you quietness through the night.
We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and rest, would grant you relief according to His mercy, guard your heart with His peace, and cause you to lie down in safety and awake refreshed for His service. May you know that whether waking or sleeping you are kept in His love, and may He wipe away tears and bring the perfect restoration which is promised to His people.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, look upon this suffering one with compassion. Ease the pain, still the restless thoughts, and give the gracious gift of sleep to Your beloved. Let this night be peaceful and restorative, and let the morning bring renewed strength. Amen.

We join with you in prayer for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we bring your request before the Lord in the name of Jesus.
Scripture reminds us that the Lord who keeps you neither slumbers nor sleeps, and that He has woven sleep into our nature for our good. Night is given as a haven and a solace after the toils and griefs of the day, a medicine for our wounds when even friends cannot comfort us. He knows your weariness and your pain, and He watches over you through every sleepless hour. We also remember how Paul and Silas, though scourged and in pain and fastened in prison, prayed and sang praises at midnight, and God heard them. Even in the night, God is near to hear and to deliver.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are our keeper and that You never sleep. You see this pain and this longing for rest. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would grant relief from pain, calm the body and quiet the mind, and give peaceful and restorative sleep according to Your mercy. Guard the heart and keep watch over this night, and let sleep be gentle and healing, ordered by Your care.
